Online check in...how different is it?

Hello! I am staying onsite at the All Stars Music for the first time during late December, early January (I've only stayed offsite before) and I did the online check in. Will I be missing anything you usually get during regular check ins? Thank you.

Only waiting in a longer line IMO. If you do not have any questions and have looked at the resort layout ahead of time, then online check in should save you time. They basically have your packet all ready for you instead of waiting for them to enter all of your info while you wait. Now they have been going with direct to room so you might even be able to skip the desk if you already have your magic band and did on line check in with your cc info. Even if they gave you direct to room you can still go to the desk and ask any questions etc. We have been going to WDW and staying on property for over 20 years and the worst part was always check in. It took forever for them to enter the info. On line check in cut that time in 1/4 easily and the direct to room is even better. You will not miss anything.

Thanks! The only thing I do need to do is to upgrade my tickets from a 4 day to a 6 day ticket. Where's the easiest place to do that??

EPCOT or HS have very short lines for ticket changes. AVOID doing it at MK unless it is a slow day

It is great. When we went in January and stayed at POP, we did online. When we arrived we were greeted by a CM with a Ipad, she put in our names and we were done in seconds. We did go to concierge to have questions answered. No line, no wait, 10 minutes after walking into POP we were in our room.

Does online check-in help or hinder the possibility of early check-in? On our next trip in February, we should be arriving at Pop well before the 3 pm check-in time, and an early check in would be a welcome sight after our long drive from Ontario.

It usually helps. There is even a question during online check in that asks for your estimated arrival time and a box to check if having a room available early is more important to you than other room requests (for example, ground floor, high floor, near transportation, etc.)

We feel it helped. As soon as a room becomes ready, you will receive a text message. When booking you should also request early check in as well. If they are busy you may have to wait. BUT, and I stress BUT, we arrived at 11am in PoPs lobby, and were in the room by 11:20.

I have stayed at All Stars Music for the last 3 years on my annual visit. I have done on line check-in. Not only was it a short stop at the front desk, but all 3 times they had a room ready fro me at check-in and I was arriving before Noon.
