Online ADRs

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!
Good choice for breakfast, you'll love the food and get loads of photos with the characters. You got a reservations number for your ADR so you'll be ok. You can always check your ADR at your resort when you check-in and they will give you a print-out of all your ADR's.

Kool, thanx very much for the info

I just used the online ADR system and it worked great. I was able to book Sci-Fi for the afternoon of August 22nd (I'm well into my 90 days, just thought I'd add one more ADR) and I was able to retrieve all of my other ADR's for my trip and add my niece's birthday to each reservation.

I can't wait until she finds out that she's going to Disney World on her birthday (she won't find out until she's at the airport) and to top it off we're dining in the castle that night!

I'm in Canada, not overseas where it could get very expensive, but it's still nice to be able to not only make but confirm reservations online rather than make the phone call.

Not going to happen. Even with people no showing for their reservations, Disney is not loosing money, and there is no reason for Disney to do this other than pacify a small group of vocal people on the internet. If someone no shows then someone else will get that table, whether they are a walk up or have a reservation already. With all the free dining going on Disney may actually be saving some money when it comes to no shows.

I believe its more of a case of preventing abuse of the system - i.e. people booking multiple ADR's and selling them on ebay or another venue.

I tried it earlier today and I absolutely love it! I've been trying to get Ohana for 2 weeks for my trip in August with no luck. Tried online ADRs today and not only got it, but got the exact time I wanted!!:sohappy:

I can understand and agree with the point you're making but can you imagine the headache when they ask if someone is on the Dining Plan (free or otherwise) and then say "you need to guarantee your reservation with a creditcard" as the guest then says, "I can eat there for free because I have free dining, but you're going to charge me if I don't show up?". I just feel this is unlikely to happen. Seems to me that if they got rid of free dining it could change a lot of the problems for the better but that's a who nother can of worms.

Currently, with the system just introduced, IF you are able to retrieve your package reservation, it knows if you are on the dining plan or not. If you go to book something with a credit card hold, IT WILL ask you for Credit Card info but will only validate the card and not charge it anything - it says $0.00 charged.

I know because I am going with free dining myself - and I have also done it for a few clients.

In other words, the basis for this is already in place - they just need to enable it restaurant by restaurant.

Just booked 1900 Park Fair for this Friday Morning. Never have ate here but was able to book it so figured why not. Did not ask for any credit card info and I'm not on the dining plan. The whole system is a lot faster than calling to get ADRs and it also shows other options around the same time.

Just booked ours for a short trip in Aug. I was impressed it work well. I'm concerned that this is going to make reservations harder and harder to get though.

Does anyone know the exact times online booking opens and closes? Also does anyone think that if you call for ADR's now the wait time will be less?

It resets at 7 am and you still use the 90 days +10 booking window.

Great!!! Thank you so much. I figured it had to be the same at the normal call center hours, but just wanted to make sure. Like you, I can make my ADR's on Wednesday and just want to be sure I am on point! Thanks again.

I LOVE the online dining ADR system!!! I called to make ADR's for our July 26-Aug 1 trip at 89 days (I wasnt available to be on the phone for 45 minutes making ADRs on the 90th day...I say 45 minutes cuz thats how long I was on the phone on that 89th day making and changing plans with the cast member at Disney Dining) and I had to change quite a few of my choices cuz they were already gone. One of the choices I had was Le Cellier. I actually got it but for a 8pm seating. I nabbed it but was a little disappointed that we would have to rush through our meal to see Illuminations, if we even had a chance, but, the nice cast member making my ADRs was so happy for me that I actually got something there, so I was happy too. I also wanted 50's PT Cafe and it wasnt available AT ALL the entire week! Same for Liberty Tree Tav. So I made new choices and moved on.

When the ADR online system launched, I went on and tried it out. Of course, before that, I called Disney Dining a couple time to see if anything had opened up for my original choices and it hadnt. Being that I can get online anytime I have a free moment and the system is easy and quick to use, I figured I can check for the heck of it any time and as often as I wanted. I checked for the things I wanted multiple times a day every day starting that first launch day and didnt find anything for those original choices. 3 days after the system launched, I checked Le Cellier and I almost FELL OFF MY CHAIR cuz I got a 6:40 seating!!! PERFECT!!! I then checked 50's PTC and found a 6:45!!! PERFECT AGAIN!!! A day or two earlier I also got the LTT that I wanted, at the time I wanted it! I LOVE IT!

As soon as I booked the new ADRs I called Disney Dining to cancel the original ones and the cast member actually gasped when I said "cancel Le Cellier"! I explained that I secured an earlier seating online just 5 minutes earlier. She felt better about hitting that "cancel" button on my Le Cellier ressie

If it werent for the online system, I am sure I would not have gotten the things I wanted cuz I wouldnt have called nearly as much as I checked online and I AM SO HAPPY THEY LAUNCHED IT WHEN THEY DID! Perfect timing Disney!! :sohappy:

I'm having a little bit of trouble w/ this...when it asks for # of children, I select one, when I submit it tells me I need to input the child's age, but there's no where to do it . So I just put 3 adults:shrug:
