Where'd We Stay: All Star Movies
When: Dec 1-4th w/ MVMCP on Dec 2 (Fri)
Thursday
We live so close to WDW and my girlfriend and I visit once a month but this trip was our first MVMCP and boy were we excited! We drove from Miami and arrived at All Star MUSIC (our originally booked resort) when we got there we blasted the cha-cha slide from our car and did the dance right there in the check in parking lot. A family walked up...saw us..and joined. It was hilarious. What a great start to a Magical trip!
We walked right up to the check in counter (tired from our dance) and found out that the pref. room we paid for was downgraded to standard due to the large crowd from Pop Warner. The CM's were nice and accomadating and advised us that they could get us a pref. room at Movies(POOLSIDE). My GF was alittle upset because we've only ever stayed at Music but I calmed her down and off we went. We were so happy when we got there and realized that Movies was all THAT and a bag of chips for lack of a better description.**In the picture Andrea, My son, and ME**
ASMovies is AWSOME. So much more sharper than ASMusic(is sharper a word?). We loved it and stayed in Fantasia. We were so impressed with the coolness of it all that we forgot that we had plans to head over to EPCOT.
Got to Epcot...No huge lines at all. Beautiful cool weather. We rode almost everything twice. Soarin' as always is AWSOME. MY son's mouth was open the whole time. It's so nice to sit back and watch your loved ones enjoy Disney's Magic.
We saw Illuminations and stayed for the holiday portion. Nice! We agreed that Epcot's fireworks are super duper loud but what a show! We didnt do Candlelight because I use to sing in it every year......but it's awsome so don't miss it. The holiday decor in Epcot is amazing and the chill in the air made me forget I was in Florida.
We woke up and headed over to Magic Kingdom and made a day out of it since we were going to MVMCP that evening.We started our day with breakfast at Crystal Palace...Yummmmmmmy! The characters were everywhere and made time for every guest.I think my son was in shock...all the characters mixed with his favorite past time....eating.
We literally rode everything in the day and saved the Holiday Magic for the evening. One word to sum up MVMCP.......Wow!!!! My heart is so heavy from the beauty of the lights, music,parade and fireworks. My favorite was the parade...I won't give it away for those that are going but BEAUTIFUL. The fireworks show (IMO) was much better than the Halloween Party.. (see it for yourself and decide).While at the party we saw the 12 days of Christmas show(in the theater by Buzz Lightyear) very cute show..great for little and big kids (like us). Saw Stich and lots of characters dressed in Holiday attire...how cute?!
Saturday
Animal Kingdom and MGM day. Nothing really to report here. We had a great time at both parks....went on all of our favorites and saw the African Performers...My son thinks they are very cool and I had to advise him not to try ANYTHING they do at home.
Mgm and the Osb. Lights...LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! Did I mention that I loved it?! The holidays are rough for me because my father isnt with us anymore. I honestly felt his presence there...we enjoyed it so very much. My son loved the snow and was literally trying to eat it and take it home with him in his pockets. It was packed that night but it didnt hinder the Magic.
Everyone was in Holiday attire and had Holiday Magic in their hearts. No one seemed to mind that it was crowded and that others were stopping in the middle of the streets to awe at the lights.
Oh' and by the way: Look for hidden Mickeys in the Light Displays.
Sunday
Our final day! We spent it at MGM...WHY? Because my son wanted to. He loves the Power Rangers and anywhere close to them is where he wanted to be. We got pictures with almost all of them...yay! We got to see Lights Motors....(my sweetie and I have seen it hundreds of times but this was our sons first) HE LOVED IT! We rode the rides and had a great time. Had dinner at Mama Melrose and was served by our favorite CM BARBARA. She remembered us and took such good care of us as she does with EVERYONE. I can't say enough great things about the Mama Melrose AND the manager on duty that day. We had some yummy desserts and left a few pounds heavier and very HAPPY.
We had such a MAGICAL time. I wish I could bottle it all up and keep it with me always. I just want to thank EVERYONE at WDW for the memories of this and all of our trips. We visit alot and always have magical moments such as these. Happy Holidays Everyone!
