Thanks so much Ryland. I really enjoyed your videos, some of which i have seen before and enjoyed seeing again.
I grew up in florida and was lucky enough to go to Grad Nite in 1989 (seems like yesterday). Watching your vid, brought back alot of memories. But I couldn't believe that the one biggest problem we all had with gradnite had gone away. I don't know if you are aware, maybe your teachers told you, but I know that during the 80s and i'm sure into the 90s, Disney had a strict dress code for all attendees. I actually just found the brochure from 89, i kept it in my yearbook. Women had to wear and i quote "party dresses, dressy jumpsuits, coordinated pants and skirt outfits (dressy) and dress shoes/dress sandals. For him: "dress shirts, dress slacks, ties required, suits (optional), dress shoes or boots, and socks"(it was the 80s miami vice look i guess). Girls could not wear sleeveless or strapless wear, midriff shirts, shorts and skirts or slacks without a jacket. Both guys and gals could not wear denim, corduroy, shorts, flip flops, sneakers, "sweatwear". As for the guys I remember you had to keep your tie on all night.
Did they still have any "discos" and bands playing? I remember we had new kids on the block and samantha fox that year.
Anyway thanks again for your time and effort in putting these movies on line for all of us to share. As some of us don't get to visit as often as we like, it really brings home the "magic"... at least for a few minutes.
