One Man's Dream coming back doubled as Blue Sky Cellar?

Thats what I'm thinking. Why would I want to see great new rides/attractions being built everywhere except WDW? Not saying that when new stuff is announced that they won't showcase it, but WDW is the closest disney resort to me, and those pics show projects going down at other resorts.

There were four posters on the wall. Cars Land at DCA, the Disney Dream for DCL, Mystic Manor for HKDL, and Ariel's Adventure at MK. So they were featuring things come all over the world from DP&R, including WDW.

Why would I want to see great new rides/attractions being built everywhere except WDW?

Why would you not want to see cool new Disney attractions, regardless of what park is going too. I'm not heading over to DCA anytime soon, so I'd love to get a peek at Cars Land models, etc.

Before it closed, OMD included models from Disneyland, DL Paris and DisneySea. Those were some of my favorite displays there.

Why would I want to be reminded of what could be coming to WDW but its not. But instead it's going to a park overseas that I probably won't see in my lifetime.

I like the idea of a Blue Sky Cellar in OMD.

Yes, it's a concept needed for WDW.

But as has been mentioned, it would need a different name than Blue Sky Cellar. At DCA the preview center is next to the Golden Vine Winery and themed as a Napa Valley wine barrel room being used as a design laboratory for DCA's future.

Inside it's all themed to wine barrels and wine tasting...

So, what could be the theme for the WDW version? Maybe an orange grove theme?

Actually, a general Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Preview Center would make the most sense at Walt Disney World. One problem that Disney faces amongst non-fans is the idea of a DisneyPark is a DisneyPark. While this mentality has been embraced by management in recent years, it encourages the idea of people just doing a single Disney vacation that occurs at most every several years. Showing people not only what is coming to Walt Disney World but also what else is out there could spur curiosity. Such a facility may encourage people to visit closer Disney Resorts, which may have been viewed as "Disney World Lite" or to encourage travels to other Disney offerings.

I think this would be a great idea, if they just took some space (not all) from OMD. I for one would not mind seeing projects that are planned for other Disney properties, as it was a lot of fun seeing the previews at the D23 expo.

They could unveil info on FLE, Star Tours 2.0, and the Art of Animation resort.

I would love to be able to see more of the models, sketchs, and ideas up close. I think the Blue Sky Studio would be a great name to fit the DHS park. :sohappy:

Would a preview center work better at a different park or location, other than DHS? Why not set it up at DTD, kinda like a flash back to the old "preview center". There is plenty of room at DTD for something like that, especially West Side...

I love One Man's Dream. I hope the film and soundtrack are spiffed up for its re-opening, and that the outside building gets some love too. It'd be great if it could have a castle motif, or statues or paintings of the greatest Disney characters on the outside of it. All it had last time I went was the sign and a bubble machine. And the soundtrack was scratchy!

Agreed! Also, does anybody know why OMD closes before the park does?

I could see them condensing some of the exhibits and putting a Blue Sky Cellar in the area in the space right before you enter the theater. There's plenty of space for several "coming soon" exhibits.

On a side note, on my last trip in November of last year I went into OMD for the first time. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the walk through and video. I thought they did a really great job of presenting his life and vision.
