okay, here is the problem:
Norton Internet Security 2005 just ran it's live update, and installed some new features.. which is totally normal... it's what it's supposed to do, BUT... now i can't check my e-mails, which is through Microsoft's Outlook Express. I think this is a firewall issue, because i think the firewall was reconfigured during Live Update.
So I call my DSL provider, and they tell me to call Symantec (Norton) Tech. Support, and I swear i couldn't understand 75% of what he was saying. I felt terrible asking him to repeat himself over and over, especially because he was being very nice.
THEN... THEN... are you sitting down? He said to fix this problem i would have to give him my credit card number and would be charged 30 dollars to fix this, because it wasn't really a norton error, but an IE error. ummmm.... i was already out of patience with our thick accented friend, and loudly told him that everything was running smoothly 5 minutes earlier, and after symantec ran live update things went wrong... SO it IS YOUR FAULT, and FIX IT FOR FREE!
anyway i had to talk to a supervisor, and i had already planned to calmly tell him/her that I wish they had someone to speak plain english there... but when the supervisor comes on the phone... he's even worse with his little accent.
i was like... LOOK... WDWMAGIC sends me E-mails to my forum updates, and right now i'm not getting them. FIX IT QUICK or hear the wrath of WDWMAGIC. lol.
i just went and had some cake, and i'm feeling much better... okay
any ideas on how to fix this problem on my computer?
