One Day to Do Both Uni Parks Solo

I'm going to be on my own for one day in mid-September. I'm thinking about taking that day to try to cram in both Universal parks. I've never been to either one before. I don't need to see everything, but I want to hit the big stuff at both parks.

I'm considering the VIP unlimited express ticket. For $150, it is supposed to give you access to both parks and unlimited use of express plus. Does that mean I can just hop in the express line for every ride every time?

Does anyone have any better suggestions?

I was wondering that as well. I read that the single rider lines are often not as long as the express lines.

The single rider lines aren't always active, especially during the slower parts of the year (Spiderman and Hulk often close theirs).

If you are willing to pay the extra money, I would recommend buying the standard Express Pass Plus as it will get you one ride in the express line for every express-ready ride in the two parks. If you want to ride again, you can wait in line, but the pass ensures that you get at least one ride on every major attraction in the park at any time of the day.

That sounds like the way to go. My plan is to try to hit all the big stuff once. I doubt I'll do much re-riding. And if I do it will be late in the day after I've seen everything I want to see.

Thanks!

I don't think you will need it in September. However, if you do decide to buy one I would recommend the Express Pass Plus, not the unlimited. You should be fine with just it.

If thats the case then the Express Pass Plus should be perfect for you! If re-riding isn't an issue, than the cheaper alternative will do just what you need. Glad to help!

I did a solo day at both parks last September - I did everything I wanted to see without an Express Pass. In fact, the longest line was ordering lunch - LOL. Hope you enjoy yourself.

I've never done them both in one day but easily could have done if I didn't insist on re-riding everything many, many times.

At a quiet time of year the queues are non-existent. In Mid-January you are able to just walk right on to anything you like with no wait at all - literally right to the loading platform and straight on a waiting vehicle.

When I went in October I did all the rides in IoA without Express in a few hours and then wandered over to US. US was a little more crowded, but I could have seen everything there if I had tried. Don't waste money on the express pass.

Being solo, if you want to skip lunch and or dinner lines, go to one of the restaurants with a bar and sit there. You can order food from there, sit down, have a nice beverage (if you wish) and refuel, and go have more fun!

There's also more of a variety of food (most of the time) if you do this!
