One Day Park Hopper

Just returned from a quick trip to "The World" for the 4th of July weekend. We stayed at POP and were just going to go to Epcot Sunday all day. We knew MK had EMHs until 3 a.m. that night. and wanted to head over there after Illuminations. So we upgraded our one day basic tickets to one day park hoppers at an Epcot ticket booth. I did not know you could do this. I always thought you had to buy at least a 2 day pass to get the park hopper option. The cost was $35 per ticket plus tax (in addition to the cost of the one day basic ticket), cheaper than buying another day (about $85? per ticket). I realize not many would use this option, but just wanted to let those with minimal time and EMHs know of this option! BTW, we watched Illuminations from the bridge in front of Italy, walked out and took the monorail, then ferryboat to MK, arriving at 10:20. It worked out great at MK, we rode everything we wanted with 0-5 minute waits, no hot sun, until 3 a.m.!

All of the add-ons have been available on all lengths of passes, but I think the reduced price on adding park hopper to a one-day ticket is new.

I believe you are correct. I was there this weekend as well and the reduced price park hopper option for the one day ticket took me by surprise.
