One Day at Food & Wine

Hey guys!

So I'm planning on attending Food & Wine at Epcot for the first time on or around October 1 (definitely a weekday).

So I was just wondering what are some good strategies for enjoying everything (mostly the food!) and if you wouldn't mind sharing any tips that you might have!

Thanks!!

(Also, I don't plan on attending any of the seminars or other events)

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
No more than one bite and one drink per country - remember there are a lot of extra countries!!
I agree and even if you only get one food item (eventhough most have 2-3) and one drink at each booth, I highly doubt you could do all of them in one day. Best thing is to look at the menus for each booth and decide which ones you want to try the most and go from there. :)

Make a "must try" list before you go so you can get an idea on what booths you want to go to and how much you will be spending. As others have said, try to only get one thing at a booth. One thing I did on my last trip that worked pretty well was figuring out what type of food I ate back to back so that I didn't get too full, so for instance I had the duck on hoisin bun and the next thing I ate was a lettuce wrap. I tried to spread out my carbs and I also avoided any drinks with bubbles. If you plan on drinking a lot of alcohol, make sure you also drink a lot of water. Also, like someone else said, start at 11 and give yourself the rest of the day to wander around world showcase. It can be a lot of walking, so towards the end of the day I started using the boats to go from one side of the lagoon to the other (also crowds got a lot heavier later in the day and it became difficult to walk through everyone as lines for the booths were going into the walkways). Enjoy!

don't jump on the first thing you come across... The prices are steep so give yourself time to circle the water once before you make your choices. I would also suggest you don't get food from areas that you are really fond of or have lots of experience with... Remember this is a Disney version of the world foods and sometimes they miss the authentic food by a little or a lot... but if you stick with foods you've never had you won't have a benchmark to compare to. At least that was my experience from snacking at the Brazilian and some Asian food...

There are approx. 40 booths (some of which are just drinks) . Before heading in to the showcase, check out the festival center and grab a passport, look over the passport and find some of the things you really want to try. DH and I went over 2 days and mostly only got 1 thing at a booth to share and sometimes a drink and still only manged to get 19 booths between the 2 days.

My favorite had to be the dumplings in china, the mac and cheese at the farm fresh, and the spicy roll in Japan.

We like to just snack during the day and save the foods that we really like for dinner. So walk around WS all day and go back to ur favorites bc if u eat as u go, ull be beyond full

Check out menus in advance, go early, hit your must-dos first and then sample whatever else looks appealing. You can use Snack credits to pay if you are on the DDP.
