I wasn't impressed with kona cafe. We had breakfast, yes it was good ( we had tonga toast and the big kahuna). The food was good, service was lacking. I wouldn't add it to my must do next trip.

Well now! Not going back to Kona? Sorry, we cannot be friends anymore. :(

For me it it is the Pescado a la Veracruzana at San Angel Inn, Mexico. It is catch of the day with veggies over rice with a wine sauce.

My description, Silly putty topped with slime, plopped on a sticky mass of starch. $26.00 please. I can buy Silly Putty at the Dollar Store for $1.00.

our order was good once we received it, but ours seems to take forever, as others around us who came in after we're served first. Our server was nonexistent, our drinks sat empty and the door wasn't overly hot :(. Your review of San Angelo inn has me second guessing my thought to try it on our upcoming trip!

I'm pretty certain I will get pinched real hard for this however...I believe San Angelo Inn looks nicer from the outside looking in.

The tables are so close together, zero personal space, think nicer tables but set up like a Value QS. When the server took the next tables order her butt was over my table for two, no way to wiggle that hinnie out sight-line.

My DS had the Mole Poblana, I'd never order anything that started with the word MOLE, chicken breast on chewy rice, spices, nuts and some coco powder. He said it was fine, but would never order it again.

The 50's Prime Time Cafe. We ate there on our 2nd trip and I scheduled the ADR for about 30 minutes before regular closing(EMH hours that night). The dang thing took 2 hours, and this was during off-peak in December of 09. Needless to say, it wasted half of our EMH so we will never go back. On the plus side, we were talking with the older couple seated next to us and they were quite pleasant! They were locals and it helped to kill the time.

Spirit of aloha - I enjoyed the experience, the begining of the show is corny but once the dancers get started its a good show. The food is ok, it wasn't bad but it wasn't anything to write home about either. I just feel I've been there done that.

But, I will highly doubt I will ever eat at the Cape May Clambake (or whatever it is called) again. ALL of the food in there was crap. Plain and simple. I ate it, but it was garbage. There really was not one single redeeming item (including the service) in that restaruant.

Dear Lord....don't get me started.

And I am not sure when you went but it was bad the several times I had to eat there in the 90's too. And my Dad who knows good food just totally has a mental block when it comes to this place. He thinks it is great. We are still befuddled and can't explain it, but we try to block it out. That was his only must-do when we were kids. Just to go there once per trip. I planned the rest of the eats the whole trip, but I love the guy, how could I refuse him? I just went with it and then we called room service later or I made my ninja-like excursion to Gasparilla at dead of night to get chicken fingers. (Certain parts of GF are dark and lizards jump out)

Once we went there and they lost power. So even worse and less food. But my dad had talked about it and was so hyped we indulged him and ate later. A food nightmare. I almost disowned him over this....LOL! Yeah, it is that bad. Sides, seafood, even the desserts have this sugary, stale, taste I still can't quite pinpoint. And I make the rounds of the buffet several times hoping to spot some light at the end of the tunnel or two but it never happened.

The things I do for love...LOL!
