It's one show where the ENTIRE family can watch together and try and figure out the plot since the characters are familiar to the young and old. I feel the writers to a great job helping the viewer with the "back story" of each character and how they keep building on the story.

My husband and I laugh and call it a "soap opera" for 13 year olds...but we still enjoy it the same.

Yes, I think it was in "Mr. Gold's" shop. I think there were other references throughout the season too. I think I saw a Mickey Mouse phone once but there were others.

I love that it is a kid friendly show while not being too elementary for adults to sit and watch. My kids have only seen a few episodes but I don't have to worry about them walking in during the wrong part like other shows. I just have to keep them quiet lol. My son and youngest dd really enjoy it. Even DH watches and he's proclaims he's not a fairy tale person.
