On site car rental

We will be in WDW in August for 10 days, staying at the Boardwalk Villas. We would like to rent a car for a few of those days to do some off-site visiting. Is there a place in the park where we can rent a car or at least have a reservation in place. Thanks.

Yes, I believe it is National. They will even come pick you up to bring you to the rental counter. Be aware that they charge a little more there than at some other locations, though. There are many car rental agencies that can come pick you up if you can't get to the counter on your own. Just check with the major companies and tell them your situation - they will let you know if they can or not.

In '02 we used the rental place at Disney's Car Care Center. Very easy to use, they sent a shuttle bus, picked me up at a time I requested, took me to the CCC and I picked up the van. When we were done w/ the van, I dropped it off at the CCC and they drove me back to the resort. All very easy, at the time I believe it was Enterprise, but I think another company took over, anyway, they honored discounts from the Entertainment Book, AAA, etc.

The official Car Rental Co. of WDW is AlamoNational, that is located at the Car Care Center outside of the MK.

From the Boardwalk villas, walk on over to the Dolphin. Tucked away on the main floor not too far from the main desk is an Alamo/National car rental agent. At the Dolphin you can both pick up and drop off rentals.

The Car Care Center is on the road to the MK and has better hours of operation. But since your staying right next door to the Dolphin it may be easier for you to get and return the car right there.
