Just love the wonderful times spent together with family ( dw + 3 kids) in our 28 years...soooo much fun and enjoyment, but I gotta tell ya ( guys you know what Im talking about) that the times I have had the opportunity to just have "ME" time is such a treat. Even now that its my 19 yr old daughter with me/wife i love that time....to just go off, even for hour and do things on my own like........ Go watch the Walt Disney Story in HS...peacefull and could watch it over and over ........just finding that one open rocker somewhere, anywhere, sit relax and people watch( my favorite ME thing)..........stroll through the stores at my own pace, usually dont buy much but love to look around.......People Mover( Wedway) again and again!......these are some of mine, how bout you?

After 40 years of fun from wife and 2 kids I can relate! Love people watching and all of the old classic rides that Walt had his hand in. Even rode COP three times in a row!

I love doing the tta over and over again too! could do it all day. On my cp, whenever I went to the parks, whenever I went to MK, 9 times out of 10, I'd ride tta over and over again

I here ya. It is nice to be free to do everything you want and not hear a "lets go here" and "I don't want to do that" or better yet "where's the bathroom". One problem I find is that when I am on my own I tend to over do it a little and ride something like EE or RnRC a few times back to back and then I start getting motion sick and end up sitting for a while to let things clear. I just don't seem to learn.:(

What I do miss when I am on my own, is sitting down for a meal without someone there to talk about my day @ WDW with. That is a real bummer.

Well in 2011 and in 2012 I took my best friend, but we only went off by ourselves for a few times. Either we went around World Showcase and ride the Gran Fiesta Tour or ride Mission Space since my da gets motion sickness.

I usually go to WDW alone when I go, so I get a lot of ME time. One of my favorite things to do is get fish n chips in UK Pavilion at Epcot and go sit in the butterfly meadow and just watch people walk by. Epcot by far is my favorite park, and I love to just walk around through the shops and explore all the nooks and crannys of the park. I see new stuff every time I visit!

In all my countless hours spent at Disney, I don't think I've ever been alone at the park. I do love going to the gym at night though at Old Key West and just wandering around the resort on my way back. Gotta work off all those Mickey pops

If I have a lot of time when I am a lone it is nice to sit back and relax and to enjoy the parks while snacking on a great disney snack! If I am accepted to the college program I would definitely love to spend a day in Epcot people watching and photographing World Showcase. I never have had the opportunity to truly appreciate all of the work and detail put into World Showcase and I would love to get the chance to!

Never alone at the parks, but my hubby watches the boys at the pool while I do some shopping and/or exploring the resort.:) One time though my boys were too small to ride EE and hubby didn't wanna ride so I hopped in the single line. Strange but nice feeling!:) When the boys were 3, we did "baby swap" for BTMRR and SM while they played at the very tiny playground. That's the only "alone" time I've had in the parks.:D

I have gone "alone" almost every year for the last 12. (Divorced) I apparently enjoy it enough to keep going back, but I don't do anything special really. I ride the things I like, skip those that I am either bored with or am not fond enough of to stand in line. Snack when I feel like it, Dine when I feel like it. (Don't do ADR's, counter service or I drive off-site. People watch, take the People Mover around and around and the same thing with SSE. Use the single rider line where I can and when my feet hurt, I leave. Touring in pain stopped being fun a long time ago. It's the fun of just being free to do whatever I want. There are times when it would be nice to have someone to share the experience with, point out the "little known facts" of WDW and so on, but, I usually never regret my time alone at WDW.

Because I usually stay offsite, I alternate days that I go to WDW. When the mood strikes me I go to Universal or SeaWorld. I might just go to some of the local flea markets or drive to the Kennedy Space Center or the other direction to St. Petersburg, Tampa and the new Sunshine bridge over Tampa Bay. I have even made side trips to Silver Springs and once headed on down to Key West for a couple of days. There's a candy store on Rte 27 headed toward Legoland (Cypress Gardens in the old days) that I always try to visit for Citrus Candy. Just a family tradition started by my Parents.

I always volunteer to go get the fastpasses for the group because then I get my alone time. It's enjoyable to spend time in the parks with family and friends, but it's also really nice to just walk the park by yourself and take in all the scenery.

It doesn't happen often, but I love after a long day at the parks, going to a secondary pool (at old key west) at night and just sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars.

Good thread. I'm going to be faced with a day or two by myself in September and was really kind of dreading it but will try to look at it as ME time and not something bad.

I tend to go photographing in my alone time because there is never a rush to get a picture and move on so you can wait for that rare moment when no one is going to "photobomb" your picture. Also waiting for the parades is quite often an alone time DW will go shopping etc while i am quite happy camped out on a bench/pavement people watching soaking up the atmosphere.. Also met some interesting people when waiting for parades.(even a few americans who know that the channel Islands are not just off the coast of California ;))
