We are going for a quick trip to the world. I was looking for somewhere to dine that is mid price range and unique. Because my daughter's name is Olivia we thought of trying Olivia's Cafe. Any thoughts?
There were mixed reviews on allears. I am open to other suggestions however I will probably stay away from signature dining this time due to financial constraints.

Thanks!

We have eaten there a few times, it isn't a bad place but dif. wouldn't say it was one of my favorites. I think the waiter made it for us. Just a fun guy. The food wasn't to bad, I have food allergies so its different for me than most. But my husband really liked the meat loaf the one time he had it...

Never go to Olivias or Old Key West....after 8 trips to WDW and staying at Old Key West each time , we always tell everyone......... never to go there........even though its the Hidden Gem of WDW...never never go......

*Tongue very in cheek*

Old Key West is a DVC resort with the slowed down, layed back feeling of KW.

These DVC units mostly have kitchens so there is only 2 CS places in the resort and a small Olivias. The food great but not overly fancy........your can eat inside or out....We love it....:D

I would suggest taking the boat from DTD , it docks right in front of Olivias.

Have a great trip.......AKK

DH & I ate there during our anniversary trip last August. He had steak, I had chicken and both were very good. (I took a bite of his steak.) In fact, we have ADR's there for our trip this August. Hope that helps.

My husband ate there for the first time in January 2010 when he went to WDW to bring our daughter home from her CP. He loved it so much that we ate there last August and have reservations for this August. Olivia's is his new favorite restaurant in WDW. It's a very nice place with a friendly staff.

We booked Old Key West and because DH was under the weather for the week we ate a lot at Olivia's and it was great. We loved the food, but the cast members were the best. The place was very quiet during our stay so the cast members really made us feel like family.

We had a great time. Thanks for all the feedback. When we got there I told the hostess that my daughters name is Olivia. The hostess and all the waitresses kept saying "welcome home boss" and "how about that raise?". My daughter got such a kick out of it. All the staff signed a menu and gave it to her. It has a lot of funny sayings on it like one waiter wrote "you aint the boss of me". The food was really good. My wife had the coconut crusted Mahi Mahi with spiced citrus glaze and it was delicious. I had the special which was meatloaf in a cabernet sauce and I enjoyed it very much. To finish we had the key lime tart which comes with mango and raspberry sauce and wow was it good! They also gave my daughter a picture to draw and they displayed it up front and made her artist of the day! They announced it in front of the whole restaurant. It was a magical experience that my family will cherish for a long time. Kudos to the staff at Olivia's Cafe. I would highly recommend eating there to anyone.

Sounds great. Always nice to hear when they go to the extra mile.
