Old Universal Globe

I don't know if this is coincidence or not.

Remember back before 1998, when Universal still had the old Universal globe made out of steel mesh in front of the studio gate?

Did they sell that to the nearby Hilton Tower by any chance?
I stayed in that Hilton tower Hotel around 1997 or something, and they never had a globe on top. Then in 1999 Universal replaced their globe with a brand new colored one, and the Hilton got a globe put on top of their tower. Same one or mere coincidence?

(The hotel I'm talking about is white with a blue rooftop.)

yeh i was there when they moved it up to the top of the hotel it looks like the old universal globe.
