Old Epcot restaurant (?) question

I think this question will be easily answered by most, but I just had trouble finding the answer, searching through so many threads, websites and what not. There is a building, I believe it looks like a restaurant, that is located between Future World and the World Showcase. If you are walking from Test Track to the World Showcase you pass by as you walk along the water. This is also where the bathrooms are located- the name is still visable on the building I believe I just can't remember it. What was that? Why is it never open? It's incredibly spooky looking and it always made me curious- Thanks!

That's "The Odyssey." I never ate there when it was open. I think, and please someone correct me if I am wrong, it is now used for convention space.

It was indeed the Odyssey. They served hotdogs and hamburgers. We used to eat there all the time when I was a kid. They currently use it for special events, such as the Mother's Day brunch. I believe there are restrooms in it that are open year round. Last time I was there, there was only a temporary barrier between the restrooms and the restaraunt, so you could easily peek around and see what it looks like.

i remember going there with my grandmother and a stage show with all the characters. for some reason i remember a really good cheeseburger. i think it had stakesauce on it, it was the pluto burger i think, and it wasnt a korean resteraunt  sorry that was a bad joke. Its too bad that the building isnt really in use for anything fun anymore.

I think The Odyssey houses first aid, a baby care center, restrooms, and it's used for conventions.

I remember eating there when I was young, but the best memory I have of it is for the First-Aid station when my mom and I were first introduced to fire ants since we both had some bad reaction to being bitten for the first time.

The Odyssey still has its signs up and they still light up at night. I never ate in there back in the day, but I've walked by there many many times. They've been recently adding a new coat of paint over there, haven't they?

I recall eating there once at a yonger age. They had Mickey and other characters dressed in a Mexico theme for a show on the stage if I can remember correctly.

I don't think I ever ate there either. They do have the first aid baby center in the back though. I had to get juice for our daughter and something else but I can't remember what. I just know the juice is the little tiny gerber juices and they cost an arm and a leg so if you have a child who needs them, make sure you bring enough.
