Olaf animatronic at the new Frozen M&G

I didn't know there were plans of adding an Olaf animatronic to the meet and greet. He's pretty cute.

Maybe I am wrong, but I remember something about a lawsuit from the original makers of the lamp. When that happened they took Luxo out and never replaced him.

I believe you are right, they reached an agreement but it but Luxo can only be used by Pixar in the film intros if I am not mistaken. What happen was Disney decided to market and sell Luxo Jr products which are based on Luxo lamps. Luxo wasn't happy and sued.

I've heard that the final straw was when Disney released a DVD with a small Luxo Jr. actual working lamp. Of course, it was a cheap POS and not a high quality lamp like the actual Luxo company makes. You can see how they might be upset.
