That's my family's favorite place to stay. When you walk into the main building, everyone says "Welcome Home". Love the steel drum music playing about the main buildings and the sandcastle slide is fun for adults too!

OKW is great! It is a quieter, more relaxed place. It feels to us like a cottage more than a hotel.

We will be there in January, too!

Yeah we have a 2-Bedroom in January as well; and you're right - they are GINORMOUS!

We have always been satisfied with park transportation. There are 5 bus stops and the buses have to loop around to all of them on each trip. This part can take a while. The final stop is the main building, the Hospitality House. OKW has a dedicated bus line, so you will never have to stop at other resorts. Bus lines are: Magic Kingdom; Epcot; Studios; Animal Kingdom-Blizzard Beach; and Downtown Disney-Typhoon Lagoon.

There is also a boat from OKW to Downtown Disney that is nice. The launch is adjacent to the Hospitality House, on the opposite side as the bus stop.

hah yeah i'm not really all that interested in spedning that extra 4 points per night to have a newer resort when at OKW you get the bigger room a good location and still a beautiful place. haha the only other resort that tempted me was the animal kingdom one haha.. but i went OKW cuz of the size :)
