If you decide on Shula's do yourself a favor - go to restaurant.com and sign up for their emails. The website offers prepaid discounts on restaurants all across the country, usually you spend $10, you get a $25 discount. There may be some restrictions on when you can use the discount, a minimum dollar amount spent or minimum entrees purchased, excluding alcohol, etc. But there are no other stipulations - you don't have to, for example, fill out a survey, buy a magazine subscription, enter to win an ipad sweepstakes, blah blah blah.
BUT, if you sign up for their emails, you'll often get discount codes, so you'll get 70-80% the price of the discount. So that $25 discount might only set you back $2. And on a Disney trip, any dollar saved is a dollar...spent elsewhere.
Now, none of the Disney-run restaurants are on the website. But various restaurants that are on property - in the Swan and Dolphin (including Shula's, just checked) and in Downtown Disney - ARE on the website. To say nothing of tons of other restaurants in the area but offsite, if you have access to a car or don't mind a taxi, or the restaurants in the hotels across the way from DTD.
I'm not involved with the website, but I've used it a lot - both in my old AND new hometown, restaurants near work in central Manhattan, and when my family went to the DVC resort in Hilton Head. I'll definitely try to use them next time we go to WDW, save a few bucks for one or two dinners, and then if we're on the dining plan, we have extra credits for Signature Dining.
