Ok, what should I expect...

So, I'm heading to WDW on Tuesday. Looking at the forecast, I can't tell if I'm in for a washout weather-wise or just the daily storm to break the heat. I know that April isn't the rainiest of months, so I'm hoping for the latter. How would you guys interpret this forecast? http://www.wesh.com/weather/7-day

I would think it might rain a part of the day. I would say be prepared for a little rain, bring a sturdy poncho (the Dollar Store ones are a waste of money). Hope for the best and check the weather forecast in the morning for more detail on the days that you are there.

The current forecast has to do with a system of fronts and the way in which tropical moister with affect the atmosphere as they move. Hence, the rain forecast is more of an afternoon rain type of deal. I wouldn't expect anything close to a washout.

I don't know FL very well, but last time we were there, in early July, the closest we came to any major rain was about an hour worth of heavy rainfall and that was it..

We've had forecasts like that before and I start out panicking and thinking my trips going to be a disaster. Then the day comes and the trip is never as bad as I thought it would be. Fortunately the weatherman isnt 100% accurate..... and I am thankful for that . With some rain predicted, plan your day with the possibility in mind.... make the best of it and enjoy being there.

Just be prepared, and you'll have a great time. Lots of people, though not as many as in the past, leave the parks when it rains for an extended amount of time. We have found it so much easier to get on rides when it's been raining for a while. Last year, in June, we had rain almost every day almost non-stop, but we put on our raincoats and had a ball. We had been using rainsuits, but I found some clear raincoats with hoods on Amazon. We used them on a later trip, and they worked great. They are much better than a poncho as water can't get into the sides and the hoods have drawstrings. I wear a baseball cap under the hood to keep the water out of my face. When I'm wearing jeans/slacks, I wear a rainsuit as the raincoat won't keep water off the bottom six inches or so of my jeans. Additionally, it's easier to get out of a raincoat than to get out of a rainsuit. You have to remove ponchos/raincoats and such on some of the inside rides like The Great Movie Ride. Therefore, wearing the raincoat saves time and is easier to store.
