Quick one, Satying at the dolphin in October and I’m now at 180 days but getting no dining options for the duration of my trip as I always have before.

Resort reservation linked to MDE so should work now right or have I forgotten something ?

I don't think the S&D gets the 180 + 10 benefit.

  • If you will be staying at a Disney owned-and-operated resort ONLY (includes Disney Vacation Club stays; does NOT include Swan/Dolphin, Shades of Green, Disney Springs resort area hotels or offsite hotels), you have extra privileges when booking Advance Reservations for dining. Disney resort guests can reserve 180 days in advance of their day of arrival and make up to 10 days of Advance Dining Reservations that same day, either online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463). This means that you can conceivably book up to 189 days in advance (for restaurants you are visiting later in your stay). If booking online, you will need your resort reservation number. If calling, you will be asked for your phone number or reservation number. The agent will verify in the system that you have a reservation at a Disney resort. Once that is established, you can make all your Advance Dining Reservations at once, for up to ten days of vacation!

I would start with the basic computer stuff then...clear cookies, try a different browser, etc.

You can also call. Odds are you will have all of your reservations made over the phone before you could sort out what is going on with their system.
Ok, thanks for your help

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
I booked last week no problem everything we wanted for a party of 5 even most of the trip. Including hard to get sometimes ‘Ohana dinner and numerous others. Frankly usually no issues getting anything if we book right at 180 days out. Shoot Even under 180 there usually is plenty to choose from and we mostly go Oct-Dec every year. Find it hard to believe there is nothing at all available. Just looked myself to play around and there is plenty left last 2 weeks of October. Must have been a glitch I’m assumjng. What are you looking for and for how many? ;)

Yes definitely a glitch. Just won’t open up the days for my trip even though today is 178 now...

Made a couple over the phone as suggested and MDE internet team re-linking my hotel reservation as there was some problem apparently.
Hopefully they sort ASAP and I can view the rest of the days!
Thanks for all your help

No, it's not supposed to. That's what @Master Yoda was saying. You don't get the entire duration of your trip when you stay at the Swan and Dolphin. You can make reservations up to October 21, 2018. It doesn't matter when you're checking out.

I would double check to make sure you are 180 days out as if you are 180 days out for the duration of your stay, you should be able to reserve dining without a resort reservation at all.

No, that's not what he's saying. He's misunderstanding how 180+10 works. He thinks it means that Disney resort guests can book at 190 days out from check-in and that he can book at 180 days from check in, neither of which is correct.

Yes realise that as stayed before, That would of been 10 days ago though. At 180 now but only options are for arrival day only?
That's correct.

Shouldn’t the duration open up?
No. That's the 180+10 benefit that's only available to WDW resort guests. The reason it's +10 is because guests staying for longer than 10 days can only book up to 190 days out, but that's still only opened up at 180 days from check-in.

You don't get 180+10 at Swan/Dolphin, but you can book each day at 180 on the dot. We stayed at the Swan back in December and I had 8 days of 180 wake ups to book our dining.

That was probably overkill. There are very few restaurants that require booking at 180 days, let alone 180 days at dawn.

If you're going at a non-peak/non-holiday time with no free dining offers, I'd agree on the overkill part. Anything beyond that and you're taking your chances. When we've gone middle of the summer, it's been great and I've had good luck even under 100 days out, but toss in a holiday or a popular event and that changes things. Add in free dining and it can be a nightmare. As it was, out of the sixteen ADRs I had on my list to book, six had absolutely no openings for any time at 6am ET on 180. Time slot availability was also extremely limited. And good luck if you're a larger party for any of your trip and want to eat at a more popular spot.
