Ok Riddle Me This Which Would You Rather Have?

Would you rather go on one big Disney vacation once a year or small ones every month. Say the big one is 10 days and the monthly ones run 3 days which would you rather have?

Well I basically do one trip for about 5 days and several 3 days trips Labor Day Memorial Day weekend and numerous day trips or overnights.

If it is 3 full days and not including travel time, I will take the 3 days a month. Lots more opportunity to visit different resorts and still have time to hit the parks, and anything I miss I will just see in 4 weeks. Better than waiting a whole year.

We live about 2 hrs away so we make it down about once a month (leave after work Friday come home Sunday). I am good with that.

I would take the one big trip. It would be a lot to go every month. Last trip we did 8 days and we were ready to go, 10 may be too many for me.

Big one, because we typically do 5 full days with a half day (travel) added on. I'd love to go for ten days!

As much as I would love to be at Disney every month, three days at a time would be too short to enjoy myself. So I would much rather go for the once a year, ten days. That would give me time to enjoy all the parks at a somewhat leisurely pace, make ADR's each night, and feel like it was a real vacation. Besides, with the monthly trips, I think it would be very difficult to save enough money in between to spend each month.

I guess it is all relative to what you consider BIG but I would say with all the planning and travelling hassle from PA I would say one big one instead of all that planning for eensie weensie ones with all the PITA planning.

I kind of like what I'm doing this year...3 vacations of 4 days each...I get F&W, F&G, and one just for me.

Once a year for 10 days definitely! I cannot imagine going to WDW for only 2 nights, 3 days unless I lived in the area. Once a year really does add to the excitement & anticipation of getting there, which is a big part of everything!

We do a ton of mini vacations or Minnie vacations as my 12 year old daughter calls them, throughout the year. We take a long one every other year. We'd rather go more often than not. That being said we live an hour away

I think it greatly depends on where you live. If you live in Florida or really to close to Orlando, the many mini trips in a year seem to be the best idea. (And getting the annual pass, too). But since I'm pretty far away from Florida, the one big trip is probably better. It would take a lot of time and money to do it every month. Plus taking a trip every month means you'll have to deal with the crowds in the summer and where the hottest temperatures are there. Crowds + Extremely hot weather = My worst nightmare. Having said that, I'll go with one trip.

I would take the big one for 10 days. I would love to be able to spend at least 10days at WDW, we usually do 8 days, especially if I knew I would be returning every year and spending 10 days each time. That would suit me fine.

For sure - my vote is for one longer 10 day trip. By the time you get there and settled it would seem time to head home on your short version. I love going for at least a week and feeling like we can get lost there - plenty of time to rest and enjoy as much as we want before we head back to the "True North" (Canada)

I'd make it one trip to minimize the days eaten by travel. You want to feel immersed - not just stopping by. A full ten days means only two affected days vs. "most" of them with 3-day trips. It's not that the flight is long necessarily, but throw in DME, check-in, airport dealings (travel, security, baggage, etc.)...

If I lived closer, 3-day trips would probably win, or at least two 5-day trips.

Money and time no object? A week at WDW followed up by a week cruise. I love my DCL.

We used to live about 2 hours away too (except we were south) and we used to do the same thing. It was really fun but I couldn't imagine doing it if we were any further away or had to fly. I'll go with one big trip.

Many small trips! Then I wouldn't be so depressed about having to wait another year to go back.
