I know there has been a few threads about this but it didn't seem that all the info has been accurate.

Anyone who's been recently can list the changes/removals/additions without editorlizing it?

From what I gather:

1 - sausage replaced shrimp on the skewers
2 - shrimp comes in a bowl & you CAN get unlimited like the other meat
3 - cheesy potatoes replaced rice
4 - wontons are still there
5 - bread pudding replaced pineapple
6- you can still get pineapple if requested, but it's not the same.

4. I thought that before there were some type of stuffed wontons.. and now there are some type of wonton chips that you dip in different sauces?
6. Can you really still get the pineapple and caramel? If so, how is it different?

Do they still have that delicious banana bread from their oven? I loved it!
As long as they still have that peanut sauce... I am happy. ;)

Wow.....

It sure don't look like there is much there for the Vegetarian. Will Ohana's also take special requests for Vegetarians.??

Yes, I talked to someone at WDW-Dine about alternate menus for vegetarians and they said you didn't even have to call ahead, they would set you up.

Like Maria said... Do we still get the bread? That stuff was delicious. I wish they hadn't touched the previous menu, it was perfect as it was.

Yeah...I'm kinda upset they changed it too.

Hi Kevin!!! Yah I was just there in the first week of October so that was fairly recent. Without editorial:
1 - sausage replaced shrimp on the skewers yes
2 - shrimp comes in a bowl & you CAN get unlimited like the other meat yes
3 - cheesy potatoes replaced rice yes
4 - wontons are still there no it is wonton skins fried almost like a wonton chip
5 - bread pudding replaced pineapple yes
6- you can still get pineapple if requested, but it's not the same. no not an option from what I was told

How's that for no editorial?? Belle

No bread is served. I think the wonton chips replaced that. Belle

Okay, how about a little editorial? I just made reservations tonight to take my sister and her family there in February - and oooohhh I'm sad about the green beans and wontons! Pineapple I can live without -sacrelige I know- but I grew up in Hawaii and actually it's not really that "local" a food.

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

...Well, that's a real bummer. By taking away the bread, rice, wontons, and pineapple, they managed to remove a great deal of what I loved about Ohana's from the menu.:(

Hi there Nicole!!! How's things?? The wonton chips I could have done without and I miss the bread as well. I had a couple of different types of bread there and all of them were good. The shrimp is served in a sweet & Sour type sauce in a bowl. This for me was actually better than the original incarnation as they werent as spicy as they had been on the skewer. For me, that is a good thing. The sauces are totally changed as well. I loved the fruit sauce so I was VERY upset that it wasnt there. I didnt try the peanut sauce to see if it was still the same. The other two were chimmichuri and Harissa sauce. The salad is a bit more exotic than I care for ( I prefer just iceberg) so I didnt partake of that my nephew said the dressing was good but he didnt care for the leaves either. Without my fruit sauce I didnt enjoy the turkey or pork as much as I usually do and some of the steak was not particularly tender. I really didnt care for the sausages. Scalloped potatoes were good and the steamed veggies were just OK. The bread pudding I had a little tiny piece from the edge of which tasted OK, I had mostly ice cream with the Bananas Foster sauce and that was dessert. Overall given the current menu, would I return?? No probably not. Was it terrible, no but there are so many more good restaurants in Disney that by taking away a lot of what made O'hana special they have pretty effectively removed it from my radar. Hope this helps!! Belle
