Entertainment has always still been there for our reservations after 9pm. The lady that gives out the leys(spelling) usually comes out at least 1 more time to get people to dance around etc. Usually we always get to see her before we finish eating. We saw her this past November and our ressies were at 9:15 or 9:30pm. And frankly we go for the food anyway so that would be a non factor for us if the entertainment was not there. She even appeared at our reservation that was at 9:45pmWhen 'Ohana was one of our favorite places, our only disappointing meal came when we had a late dinner reservation. The entertainment wasn't there, and the food didn't taste fresh.....it was as if it had been sitting around for hours waiting to be given to late diners. Now that they've done away with offering chicken on the skewers, there's no longer anything there for me. But anyway, you definitely do NOT want late dining there.
I know this is a really old post, but wondered how it went? I am looking at a 10pm dinner for our Spring Break Trip. I am so confused with the time. I am thinking we will be losing one or two hours coming from TX. But won’t that mean it will feel like we are eating at 8pm?? Thanks for any info. Our flight gets in at 8 & I wanted to try something different our first night! We started making our reservations for our April trip yesterday and our favorite place to eat Ohana's only had tables available for 9:30pm. Of course I took it not wanting to miss our favorite resturant this trip. Last time we were in Disney was 2006 and we had a 6:00 pm reservation. I noticed they close at 10pm so I'm worried! Are we going to be rushed? Do you miss out on the atmosphere by coming to the last table of the night? Some people in reviews have stated they arrived an hour earlier and got seated earlier than their reservations so I think that's an option as well but can anyone tell me if they have had good experience doing that? We are going during spring break so I know it's going to be packed !
We had 9:30 time slot around Halloween and it was marvelous. All booked. Will keep checking. Should have thought of this sooner!Personally, if my flight gets in around 8pm, I would forgo any ADRs the first night and just pick up something on my way to Magical Express at the airport or grab quick service once I got to the hotel. It can take up to 2 hours to get to your hotel once you land with DME and then you still would need to get to the restaurant so there'd be a good chance of missing it and having to pay the no-show fee. If you aren't planning on DME, it still takes about 45 mins to get from the airport to WDW and that's assuming the flight lands on time. Just something to think about!
