Ohana Rebur?

My neighbor called last night to tell me that while trying to make reservations for late August, she was told by Disney Dining reservations that Ohana's is closed for reburishment early in the week prior to Labor Day, however will be opened by Labor Day.

As anyone heard this?

i heard this too from my aunt who called. however, i have reservations on thurs the 28 which is one of the day they told her is closed.

i called disney dining last night to make some changes to some other reservations and asked the woman about ohana. she told me that when there are no reservations at all left the computer says "temporarily closed" and my aunt probably got someone who just read it verbatim.

Unless something happens and they fall behind, they should be open since Labor Day is September 1st. The refurbishment should be complete.

We have reservations there for 15th Aug, 22nd Aug and 26th Aug. These were made quite a few months ago. I hope the restaurant will be open. Not only do we love it there, but we are staying at the Polynesian, so it is very convenient for us. It will be our last trip for a while, due to rising air fares, and a daughter about to start secondary school, so we really want to eat there.

Would Disney really close a restaurant to refurbish it during the free dining plan period?

They will call you, they called me in May to cancel my Captin Jacks res.

I;ve had it happen before.. Had reservations for Yacht Club Galley, rushed to get there only to find it was being refurbished.. yet they let me make reservations not long before we were going..

Does anyone know the exact dates for the Refurb? We have reservations for Sunday, August 24 and then again Sept 6th. I am not worried about the Sept one since that is after Labor Day, it is just the first one I am concerned about.

As of now, there is no information anywhere on the Cast website or in our dining reservation system about 'Ohana being closed at any time for a refurbishment. 'Ohana is still fully bookable for late August, although slim pickings.

'Ohana does have character dining with Lilo and Stitch for breakfast, but not for dinner. Breakfast is good there, but dinner is WAY better!
