'Ohana- Is there a lot of "fire"?

I was just wondering if at 'Ohana, the fire pit was really visible from everywhere. The reason I'm asking is that my DD3 is pretty afraid of the fire/smoke at Japanese Hibachi places and didn't know if 'Ohana had a similar effect. Is the fire pit the main focus of the room? Or have other parents have had this experience? Are the fire pits on for breakfast as well as dinner? Thank you so much!!

When we were there last August we sat behind the kitchen area near the entrance . The fire pit was not visible from our table. While we missed a good portion of the entertainment, it was nice to have a quiet, relaxing evening meal for a change. Perhaps you can request a table in that area when you get there; I would assume that most people would NOT want that area, so it should be easy for them to accomodate you. Good Luck.

Heading for the great escape.
Only ever once had a table where the pit was noticeable. Id be more worried about the impact of the hellish singing that spoils the ambience of the place :animwink:

Great- thank you all! I am glad to hear this. My daughter will ask almost every time we go to a new restaurant "no fire?" :) Thank you!!
