Trip Report Oh Dopey!! - A two week Rundisney TR & VLOGS *Complete*

It’s time for my BRAND SPANKING NEW TRIP REPORT

Strap yourself in for a the LONG haul because we fit a whole LOT of DISNEY in and I can’t wait to share it all

YAH!!! First in line!!​

The photopass guy was having some equipment issues so we snapped away on my phone

The rain had let up a bit when we came out so was wandered down towards the park exit to get a bus back to our room.

We caught up with Mam who was enjoying her ‘free’ coffee and our next plan for the day was to head to the Disney Springs for some shopping and lunch. We chilled in the room for about an hour and then myself and Rachel were good to go!


We went on ahead, catching the boat from reception.

Here it comes...

This was the first time I’d had boat transport at a Disney hotel so I was really excited about it!

It took quite a while to get there but it was a fun ride!

We went straight to World of Disney and got our shop on! I was interested in checking out the dooney and bourke again and had settled on getting the disneyana cross body. I know it’s probably a bit generic but I really liked the design! I was a bit worried that it was white though!


After about an hour of shopping we got a text from our parents to let us know they were on the way. When they arrived we headed to Wolfgang Puck Express. I’ve been to the one over by the main Wolfgang Puck café but the one in the marketplace seemed a lot nicer to me!

Of course Mam was like…

“Can I order this for free”

YES MAM!!!



I went for Pepperoni Pizza

Rachel got margarita

Dad got chicken alfredo

And Mam had her free salmon

And we all got cheesecake for desert

This was delicious!! I would definitely recommend this on the dining plan! We ordered at the counter but our food was brought to the table. Our waitress was lovely and the food was so so good.

We popped back into World of Disney for my parents to have a look around and then got the boat back to our room.

Day 3 - I've got wet hair​

Sunday 3rd January 2016
Part 2 - It's raining it's pouring....
​

We had a short chill in the room and had a little snooze. Then it was time to head to Epcot!​

​

YAH!! I love Epcot… it’s really grown on my the last few visits. I remember not really being that impressed with it when I was younger and I think that’s fitting because I do feel like it’s the most adult friendly park. On more recent visits I’ve really enjoyed Epcot and always left feeling like I wanted to see more of it!​

​

Again we caught the bus from reception, this time we saw it driving past us on our way over to reception (the bus stops outside our room then goes off around the resort and back past our room towards reception but without stopping this time) so we ran across to make sure we got it. Turns out it takes another turn to pick guests up before finally stopped at reception so we made it in plenty of time!​

As you can see the weather was a bit miserable but we didn't let it bring us down, we were going to dine with princesses!​

EPCOT here we come!​

The Christmas decorations were still up at Epcot which was really nice!​

We stopped off at Mouse Gears to pick up SPARKLY MINNIE EARS... YES!!!​

There was a reason for us coming to Epcot today… It was the LAST day to ride Soarin before it closed for refurb! I had a fastpass booked which was definitely needed because the queue was MASSIVE! It was almost 2hrs!​

​

My parents loved the fact that we could just walk past the queue… in moments like this we would get a ‘thanks girls’ for all the planning… It’s nice to have it appreciated! SPREADSHEETS WORK PEOPLE!!​

I find this whole area a bit odd and I’m not sure why. I feel like it’s maybe a bit dated or something and it kind of turns me off eating at sunshine seasons. I really can’t explain the feeling!​

It was so much fun as always, Goofy and Mickey were in great form!​

We then made our way over to the world showcase, I wanted a drink!! Of course I insisted on a visit to Cava de Tequila!​

Our barman was great! He recommended different drinks for us and we got a really nice selection. He said the avocado was really good and although reluctant because I’m not a big fan of avocado I trusted his opinion…​

It was getting close to our reservation time in Norway so we headed that way in the still miserable weather.​

WOW… those margaritas are STRONG! We were all feeling quite merry!​

​

We checked in for our dinner and waited under an umbrella at a table with another family to be called. It was pretty squashed under there but we had a laugh with the other people waiting…​

Day 3 - I've got wet hair​

Sunday 3rd January 2016
Part 3 - I want a photo by myself with the princess

Before long we were called and lined up to meet Belle

Her dress is so detailed and pretty…

Of course Dad insisted on a photo by himself with the princess

We were seated at the table and given a menu to order our mains. The starter was a buffet.

I wasn’t blown away by the food to be honest. It was nice but not memorable.

The princess interaction was fun and we got lots of photos

Mam was jealous that she didn't have anything to hold and pose with so Snow White helped her out

It was getting close to fireworks time and the weather had started to clear up. We stopped into Karamell-Kuche.

IT SMELT SO GOOD

We used some snack credits for popcorn and a caramel apple… nom nom nom

We watched Illuminations and I wanted to just watch and enjoy so I didn't take any photos... SOZ

It was getting late and we were pretty wet so made our way out to the exit

We waited for our bus, pretty wet but still in great spirits…

Thanks!! Oh it's great I love the dining plan too! You are going in 2016 and 2017? I guess I did too but when you go in January 2016 September 2017 seems like SO FAR AWAY!!

...... so apparently I need to move to the UK before my Disney trip because I'd end up spending an arm and a leg less then I am living 20 hours away (driving).

Day 4 - Around the world to find some ketchup!

Monday 4th January 2016
Part 2 - PASS THE KETCHUP!!!​

We had dinner booked in Whispering Canyon, I’d been before at lunch time but was excited to come in the evening!

It was really handy having our hired car, we drove to the Wilderness Lodge and parked up.

This was my parents first time seeing this resort and they were really impressed! It was decorated so beautifully for Christmas, the tree was ENORMOUS!

We checked in and received a buzzer

We waited a little while in the lobby to be called for dinner, I really didn’t mind waiting at all, the lobby is so pretty!

Dad and Rachel were looking up the details of the expo, it was only two days away now!

Our buzzer went off and we were taken to our table. There is so much fun to be had at Whispering Canyon but you do have the option to opt out of being ‘involved’ if you prefer. We of course were more than willing to participate!

Our waiter came around and took our orders, we all went for the all you can eat skillet with a bottomless milkshake.

Some wonderful corn bread arrived right away and it was scrumptious!

Our milkshakes came next, these babies are super indulgent and really heavy so I tried to sip mine slowly…

SKILLET TIME

SO MUCH FOOD!! NOM NOM NOM!

Those mash potatoes are amazing.. I loved the corn on the cob (I’m known for being a bit obsessed with corn on the cob back home) and the pork.


We were given extra helpings of anything we wanted, I know we got extra potatoes and ribs but I wanted to save some room because we also got desert with our dining plan…


We got two of the chocolate ooey goey cake, an apple cobbler and an apple and caramel

There was lots of fun bits happening while we were eating including of course a few people looking for KETCHUP!

The kids were taking on a *horse* ride around the restaurant and a whole family was sent to jail.

We were STUFFED to brim after desert so we waddled back out towards the car

We drove back to our room, stuck on a bit of Stacey and drifted off to sleep. We had an early start tomorrow for breakfast at BOG.

Day 5 - Breakfast with a beast & dinner with a beauty
Tuesday 5th January 2016
Part 1 - BOG Breakfast

Don’t you just hate that feeling when your alarm goes up and wakes you up a wonderful dream​

Isn’t it just the best feeling when you open your eyes and remember that you’re in the happiest place on earth?

We had an early start today with a pre-park opening breakfast at BOG for 8:05AM. We got ourselves ready and out the door, MK here we come!

I really like the early morning reservations it’s so nice to get into the park early and get some nice photos with a really quite or sometimes even empty Main Street USA.

We arrived at MK around 7.45AM eager to get in early to find this​

A queue to get in for those with early reservations or tours! I’d never seen this before! The line was actually for anyone with a reservation before 9.15AM! This seemed a bit strange and rather an unnecessary queue! From previous experience you would just show up and walk straight in and as everyone had different reservation times there was never much of a wait either as people showed up at different times. Now we were all going to have to wait and then everyone would be let in together 8AM. BOO!

8AM came and we got in!​

We didn’t have much time before our reservation so we got a few quick snaps​

Dad was loving being the centre of attention.. ​

Now I know my photos aren't particularly amazing but my Dad is awful at framing a shot and getting the WHOLE CASTLE in the picture ​

We had pre-ordered our breakfast so we waited in the short pre-order queue. There was no wait to go through the ordering processes either so this didn’t really save us time.​

When we came in the ballroom was really busy and just as we were about to take a seat they opened up the library so we went there instead as it was nice a quite!

We had all ordered the Open-Faced Bacon and Egg Sandwich so we grabbed some *free* coffee while we waited.

We weren’t waiting long at all which was great because I was well over my feast the night before and ready eat some breakfast!!​

(my appetite in Disney is CRAZY!)

Pastry Tray​

You only get one Pastry Tray per table regardless of whether it’s 2 or 4 people, I didn’t mind too much as there was plenty in the main breakfast to fill me up.
We finished up and I took a quick snap on the way out of the beautiful ballroom... I shall see you soon! ​

I liked the breakfast and it’s a great use of a counter service credit especially with the early entry included. I think for $20 though there are better options available, I would prefer to pay the extra for crystal palace if I was paying out of pocket and choose BOG as a lunch option.

Day 5 - Breakfast with a beast & dinner with a beauty​

Tuesday 5th January 2016 ​

Part 2 - Show us your dance moves!
​

After breakfast we popped into Village Gifts to once again check on the status of Lumiere, unfortunately the answer was the same as before, he was sold out park wide and they had no date for when he would be back in stock.

We hopped on over to the winnie the pooh ride next!​

I had tried to get one with just me and Mam but Dad and Rachel were having none of it!​

​

I really like this ride.. it’s just classic and fun and you get to hop along with Tiger… what more could you want?​

Seen as we were in the area and it is Rachel’s FAVOURITE ride we just HAD to​

I always take LOADS of pics on this ride! I can't help it!​

We had a fastpass to meet Anna and Elsa so that was our next stop. This fastpass is SO hard to get and you hear people at the fastpass plus machines around the park asking CM’s about fastpasses for this and Seven Dwarfs Mine train knowing they were probably booked out over 60days ago! Even when we hit our 60day mark it was difficult to get a decent time in the first few days of our trip. I’ve really enjoyed meeting the frozen sisters in the past and Anna is probably one of my favourite face characters (behind Gaston of course) when she is on form she’s a hoot!​

​

Lucky for us Anna was very much on form today! She was delighted to hear that we were sisters and then asked us what we liked to do together. I told her we danced together and she got super excited! She moved right out of the way and asked us to show her a dance move with the promise that she would show us her dance move afterwards.​

Next up was Elsa who explained how she was getting blamed for the cooler weather lately but promised that it wasn’t her this time

We ventured across to future world next to shoot some aliens. I can't remember who won which means it wasn't me but I do remember Dad making us spin loads when I'd given him specific instructions to leave the handle alone!! ​

Our next fastpass was Big Thunder Railroad.. the WILDEST RIDE IN THE WILDERNESS!! ​

This is one of the train style rollarcoasters that my Mam will ride on…
They need to get a ride photo on this!


We had timed using our fastpasses so that when we came out of Big Thunder we could go straight on Splash. We didn’t really need the fast pass for this however as it wasn’t very warm so there wasn’t a big queue. We totally wimped out and got under our ponchos but our ride photo never came through onto my account…​

We were feeling a little peckish again so we decided to get a snack from Sleepy Hallow. I also stopped by a fastpass plus kiosk and got us a fourth fastpass for Monsters Inc Laughter Floor.


Despite all that is said about the yummy treats to be had at Sleepy Hallow I only tried my first ice-cookie sandwich on the last day of our trip last year so I was really excited to head back!

We were getting a bit tired now and we had to be back for our 5pm reservation at 1900 Park Fare so we decided to have a quick trip to the Laugh Floor before heading back to our room to chill and get ready

The show was funny as every and also as ever I forgot all the funny bits so I can't tell you about them now... :rolleyes1

The park was getting quite busy as we were leaving so I was quite happy to head back to the room
