Offsite guest holding at MK morning EMH?

Although we are offsite we will probably be at MK on a date with EMH in the morning. We'd still like to get into the park as early as allowed.

I can't seem to find specific information about when and where offsite guests are held back from entering. There is old information, but with recent changes to security at the TTC, and new MK opening procedure I don't trust older information so much.

There's a big cage to the left of Main Street between the barber shop and fire station they put you in. It's pretty nice. It's got one of the hamster water things hanging from the side that you can drink from.

Kidding of course. EDIT: See @LuvtheGoof's and @Kamikaze's replies below.

Kidding of course. In reality, you can more than likely enter the park and just not go on any of the rides. As far as I know, they don't check your resort band at security (they never did for me this trip, but we didn't do any EMH).

They don't need to check, when you scan your band it can tell them if you are staying onsite or not.

When you scan your MB at the park entrance, it knows whether you are allowed in for EMH. The light will turn blue, and a CM might let you in, and might not. If one of the CMs with an iPad comes over, that will tell them that you are not a resort guest, and they technically shouldn't let you in.

Since they don't check at the security line, you should be able to hang out in front of the entrance until you are allowed entry, though I don't know why you would want to just hang out for up to an hour.

I was there last week. In MK around 8:30 am, they seemed to be letting everyone in to gather in front of the castle for the AM show in the hub area. Adventureland/Frontierland were blocked off. EMH people were directed to check-in at the hub spoke at Tomorrowland and then could go to attractions in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

I don't know the answer because I've never done it, but I would strongly advise against this idea. A park with morning EMH puts you at a distinct disadvantage as an off-site guest because the park will be much more crowded than usual.

I know it is a disadvantage. But it will not be our only MK day, and the schedule seemed to work better that day.

Thank you for the firsthand report. This sounds very much like the regular opening procedure for non-EMH days.
This was for Extra Magic Hours (resort guests) and not Early Morning Magic (upcharge), correct?

Yes, it was extra magic hours.

I don't see them allowing you access past the turnstiles until after EMH is complete. Once you are through, there is no control of who can utilize the attractions.

No, they block the pathways off of the hub. And saying there are "attractions" on Main Street is a bit of a stretch.

Update after our trip: Indeed, as reported there was no hold for offsite guests at TTC or turnstiles, just at the hub. Signs were routing EMH guests to the Tomorrowland side where they were scanning MBs for entry.

The crowd situation seemed different both days we were there under those conditions. The earlier day seemed like normal crowds and we rode Space a couple of times at rope drop with short waits. The second day we were there on an EMH morning was the friday before Memorial Day. We had planned to ride 7DMT at rope drop because we had really liked it and Touring Plans predicted a sub-30 minute wait at rope drop. Five minutes before rope drop I re-checked and the wait was posted at over 70, with an expected 50 minute wait. Based on that we quickly changed our plans and headed toward Frontierland and BTMRR. With EMH entry on the Tommorrowland side, it did seem (as I suspected) that very few resort guests had made it across to the other side.
