The official Dedication will be next thursday, October 8th. It will be in the evening in the park. So this means that on thursday Mission Space will probably be blocked off again by the trees starting in the late afternoon. The name of the event is 'The Sky is The Limit'. If any one has any one other information relating to this please post.

Thanks for the update, I guess....

Acutally, the whole park closes at 3pm, not just M:S. Also, I'd bet that M:S won't open at all that day. My friend is going so I'm going to get him to take some pictures.

Correct EPCOT will be closing early on the 9th last I heard 3 in the afternoon. That large grandstand is for the media. The only two attractions to be opened will be Test Track and Mission: SPACE.

Wooaaaaaaaa! Wait change of plans!
Do you really think Mission Space won't open at all that day? We were planning on Epcot that day because we were figuring low crowds (because of early closing).
Does anyone know? This will upset my careful planning of our trip!

Well, I guess it WILL be open, but when I went and they did CM Previews, they closed the ride after the previews, so I was thinking mabey they would do the same only opposite.

You mean the only two attractions that are going to be open are TT and M:S, for six hours? I'm going to be stuck with three thousand media people....for six hours.....on two rides? Is there an open bar?

Well no. The park CLOSES at 3pm. Then when the media comes and parties (it takes about 2 hours to set up) only two rides will be open Test Track and M:S. The rest of Epcot will probably be closed and those CM's working the media event and keep everyone happy.
