It's probably too simplistic, but I shall submit anyways. It wasn't a very difficult thing to make;)

I see it just fine. I really like the simplicity of it. Less is more sometimes. Good Job!

I made mine from a 1953 Disney cartoon poster titled Walt Disney's Thanksgiving Day Mirthquakes. I edited and cleaned it up a little but not too much. (Didn't wanna mess up the vintage look) I can post the actual poster if anyone wants to see it.

Zak - If anyone has a problem with it then leave it out of the contest. I just really like it and wanted to share.

I JUST got photoshop today and went through a couple online tutorials about how to do some fun effects and what not, so if I can figure this program out (and get a stroke of brilliance) I might just enter my first contest here! Here's hopin!

Great entries so far, everyone!

Hmm, I can see it, but I'm on a Mac. I don't expect you lousy PC users to be able to see anything!

ok, now before I get flamed...i was just kidding....k? :D I own both PC's and Macs, and both have treated me well.

Thanks for the offer, but I fear I'm a lost cause based on what I've "learned" so far. I did learn how to make a "spooky text" effect (which is what the tutorial called it), but have no idea what the theory behind each individual step was, so have no clue how to apply it to other project. But if anyone out there needs some Spoooooooky Text, I'm your man.

Mainly I am interested in learning how to do animated gifs, but I fear that is going to be biting off more than I can chew. I need someone to sit down with me and actually SHOW me how to do these things.

*back to the tutorials* :p

Just for the heck of it I tried to make something (Christmas themed, I figure by the time I figure it all out, it will be time for that contest, so I'm planning ahead :p), but the quality looks kinda crudy and there is one effect I can't seem to figure out. I have one layer with a transparent part in the middle and I want to make it look like there is light coming from inside it and shooting through the "hole".

I'll be IMing one of you for help on that when I get home from work tonight :p

Ok, so thanks to some tech support from Kevin, I got mine done a lot sooner than I anticipated. So, once the Christmas contest rolls around....I'm ready! :p

Hopefully I can get CS installed on my new, much faster computer in time for this contest. If not, I've got a really good idea for the Christmas one... if I can get the source images.

Ok, not many entries this time around, so I've put something together. Now, before you knock it, know that it's a 15 minute effort. At least it has the right coloring, no? :)
