Off the Beaten Path

Hey All -

Going on our yearly trip to WDW this coming May.

We're definitely planners and park commandos.

The last few years we've been taking on a little bit of the stop (well not completely stopping but you know...)and smell the roses approach.

So I was thinking we may want to take in some "shows" like Festival of the Lion King
Or maybe new things like Sum of all Thrills at Innoventions..
or some things along those lines.

So I'm looking for peoples thoughts and ideas of things to do that aren't exactly attractions or rides but things that I may miss that are off the beaten path.

Where is the snowman photo op at Hollywood Studios? I've taken Christmas card photos on the sleigh in Liberty Square and at the Happy Holidays display at DTD. The snowman might be another good one. :)

I love to watch the JAMMitors at EPCOT. They usually perform near Innoventions- on the side of Electric Umbrella. They are hysterical and awesome! Check your guide times.......they're great performers. I especially loved seeing their performance during the Flower and Garden Festival.
Ooh!!! Along those lines, I love the Steel Drum band that plays by the Theater in the Wild at AK. They are so relaxing....although it could be affinity for steel drums that makes me like them. :D

It's over near Muppets and Mama Melrose's and the Christmas store

Master Yoda has a great list he's compiled of lots of little things around the parks to look for. You can see it in his blog here: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/blog.php?b=584

I am very familiar with Master Yoda's list!
I made it into a word document and have it laminated. I update it and bring it on our trips every year!

I'm looking for other little tibits and opinions like shows, and 'exhibits" (like sum of all thrills) and places that aren't really "known".

Then I'll have two laminiated sheets (actually 3 if you include my itinerary) and look like a real nerd :D give my family more reason to tease me. Heheeheehe..

Oh did I mention my snacks list? Wow....I got problems..:lookaroun
