Off-site House Rentals with Shuttle Service

Hello! My husband and I and 4 kids are looking for a vacation rental private house near Disney World for November of 2022. We are hoping to find something with shuttle service to Disney World, and possibly Universal Studios so that we don't have to rent a car. We are willing to taxi/uber occasionally. We would ideally have room in the home to invite 3 more adults, and a private pool as well. The closer to the parks the better. We have also looked at staying at Art of Animation, but that may not work if the other 3 adults join us, and would cost more than a house if they join. Our plan is to spend 6 days within the Disney parks, one day at Disney Springs, 2 to 3 at Universal parks, and one day at SeaWorld. Extra resort amenities aren't necessary as they may not be used much. Any advice on locations and property management companies to look into or avoid would be helpful! Thanks

I don’t have any advice on off-site housing, but thought I would throw out the idea of renting DVC points. Your family of 6 would fit in a 2 bedroom unit. You would have a kitchen and washer/dryer, plus be on property so you wouldn’t need to figure out transportation except to Universal/Sea World.

Hello! I’ve only been talked into renting a house in Orlando (with a pool) once and I was so disappointed, we haven’t done it again.
We have rented a three bedroom, three bath condo from The Grove near WDW property twice, however and were very pleased both times. Traveled with a pack of kids (our kids & their friends) and had plenty of space and they enjoyed the water park.
The Grove has a shuttle to the parks (or did pre pandemic) but we never used it. We mostly drove ourselves because it’s Just a left onto the road and a right on Western Way and you’re on Disney property (although still a good bit away from the actual parks).
An Uber to/ from a Disney park for two people from The Grove ran about $40 plus tip and could be even higher at surge times (park open or park close) - so just a warning that sometimes a renting a car is cheaper!

We are renting a vacation house this summer (trust me, it was NOT my first choice but I was outvoted my my teen sons and DH, who is, shall we say, financially "tight" when it comes to WDW😂)! DH is sooo tight that he did not want me to rent a car! He wanted to ride share the whole time. But given my mom is taking her personal scooter, he lost that battle. But I think you are going to be very hard pressed to find any vacation home that offers shuttle services (and I agree, they probably charge if they do and offer very limited pick-up/drop-off times if you can find something).

My first choice, were we not moving to Hawaii in Aug and trying to control the cost of that move, would be to rent DVC points! We did that last time the whole family went and we did a 2-br and LOVED it! Very roomy, loved the W/D (we still rented a car because we stayed at SSR and not a fan of their bus system) but awesome! I'd also look at getting adjoining rooms at the swan/dolphin (depending on time of year, may be cheaper than AoA).
