Off "Site" Hotels

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a good office site hotel near DL?

Trying to plan a quick trip end of February/beginning of March because flights are cheap and would like to keep the cost down but still have a nice short stay.

It will also be a nice Disney fix before my WDW trip in December. :xmas:

The Howard Johnson's on Harbor Blvd. receives very good reviews, about a 10 minute walk from the Disneyland entry turnstiles. http://www.hojoanaheim.com/

The Fairfield by Marriott next door is good too, although big school tour groups like to stay there.

The Annabella is a nice, upscale motel property that offers good rates sometimes. It's on Katella near the convention center and is a bit longer walk, probably 15 minutes to the main entrance, or 10 minutes to the Downtown Disney monorail station. http://www.anabellahotel.com/

I have personally stayed at the Super 8. I walked to the front entrance of Disneyland in less than 15 minutes.

It is just a bed and shower, no amenities at all. It is also only $50-65 a night.

If that seems too low end, the Howard Johnson's is lovely.
