I was just wondering what or where was the strangest place you have seen something related to Disney?

Mine had to be over the summer at driving class while watching a VERY boring tape. They had Mike Eisner, Mickey and Goofy saying to "Buckle Up"

hmm let me make this easier! Did you ever have a conversation where you would think Disney would never come up but it did? THis happened to me this week at school, during chemistry we were wasting time so we played Chemistry is Life wher eour teacher asks us questions on any topic and the class writes it down..... Well the topic was Amusement Parks (ok so I came up with the topic). He was telling us how he worked at an Amusement PArk (then called Geauga Lake). Anyways.. he then started talking about rides and stuff he told us how he thought RnR was a great ride! Which then lead him to fastpass! H e was talking about how he always felt guilty for walking by all the people. (ok so its not an interesting story) so he and I talked about Disney and amusement parks while the rest of the class was wondering why and how I knew all of this! (ok Im done boring you)

I don´t know but I always smile when it is raining here and see the yellow Mickey ponchos. Seems like everybody has at least one!

This past hurricane, I saw a family wearing them the day after walking by my house. Cute! (and ours were ready to be worn too...):animwink:

WEIRD PLACE

This past summer i was in Eygpt with my family, we drove from cairo through the desert to the northern coast (medeterainian sea) were we went to see our villa which has just been finished. as we drove along the coast there is nothing but desert on one side and desert and sea on the other. We passed a sign which pointed to a shop in the middle of nowhere, The sign was written in arabic. Being the Disney fans we are my dad started laughing becuase it read something along the lines of ''Toys,Clothes Disney etc''

Uh.. a couple things...

I was in Spain about a decade ago...and lo and behold a carousel out of nowhere themed to Disney...

and in the Bahamas...several hats were (illegally, I'm sure) stitched to Disney character faces...

..and Disney probably fits into every conversation I have!

Another occurance - I was in an antique store, looking around, where right there was a lady who worked at Horizons for over a decade...it was amazing. :)

You know it's pretty amazing but I have done alot of traveling and I gotta tell you. No matter what backwoods hillbillie town you are in at least 75% of the stores have something that relates to disney. Usually Mickey stuff. But I have seen everything from dolls to sunglasses to those silly placemats that you get down the road from WDW with the state of florida on it. Lets face it Disney is a marketing machine. Everyone knows them and I have yet to meet someone that says I hate Disney. Pretty much everyone grew up with disney to some level. If not the Old Micket Mouse club back in the 50's and 60's you grew up with the disney channel. My kids get 3 disney channels.

How many of you did Mousersise before school? Raise your hands!

this wasnt' really odd but it kinda amused me

I was in a hot topic store with another friend of mine. Just shopping, picking out some shirts and whatnot....well my friend doesn't really wear those kinda clothes so she was kinda iffy, it being her first time in this store. Well one of the girls who works there, tattooed, big spike through her nose, dreadlocks came up to us and asked us if were finding everything okay. I was like yeah but my friend was like "whoa!" cuz she found it wierd but then all of a sudden my friend goes 'YOU'VE GOT A STITCH KEY CHAIN" and pointed to her lanyard around her neck. I thought that was pretty neat. :D

...in a MASH Unit in Nam, a black and white picture of Disneyland Castle was pasted on the wall over a bunk...
