Odd Pin Question

I saw this pin at MouseGears and I was trying to figure out why. Basically it was Optimus Prime of Transformers...Yes...Transformers. And it was a collectible pin. Anyone know if they have the rights or something going on?

I thought the same exact thing as you when I first saw it. I later found out that it's part of the Power Rangers. When they all merge their seperate vehicles together it forms a giant robot.

Which is actually stolen from Voltron. Power Rangers were basicly ripped off from the animated show.
