October questions

Does anyone know if any group is going to be going to be there the first week of October (10/3-10/10)? Like I know when we went in Dec Pop Warner week was going on the week after we were there and sometime in November is usually Jersey week, something like that. I know Columbus day will increase crowds, would that start on Friday or on Saturday? Also would we still qualify for free dining since the last day it is offered would be the day we would check in?

Yes! I originally booked our trip from 10/3 - 10/9 but ended up switching it to starting on 10/1.
This is my first trip in October, so I'm not sure about crowd levels. I'd guess crowds would start getting bigger Thursday-Saturday though.

It isn't too bad wait times are usually 15-20mins depending on the park you visit also be aware that since they are doing the Dining plan it does get a bit busy at the restaurants..Here's how wait times were at Epcot last year Oct 4.

There's not any big cheerleading groups or anything like that, in that time frame, that I know of. Some schools will have a fall break that week, but the crowds shouldn't be horrible. A little more crowded, but nothing near summer levels.

You will qualify for free dining if you check in on the 3rd.:)
