:) Always been in Jan and Feb.....first time ever thinking of going in October with just my DH.....wondering which weeks are better in October or Early November for lower crowds/nice weather....I assume late October is busier with Halloween parties etc.....haven't consulted the guides but please tell me your experiences especially in the Magic Kingdom in the Fall! THANKS! ;) Meanwhile I have to read up on this new magicband fastpass plus thingy....o_O. Had old system down....and loved it.

We were there October 3 to 11 in 2013. Saturday at Epcot was crazy around World Showcase. much, much better the following Tuesday or Wednesday when we went.
Later in the stay if seemed to get busier overall. Turned out several of the states around Florida had fall break around this time.
Still great though, we are going a little earlier this year, starting Sept 27

Is the not so scary halloween parade the same parade they run during halloween daylight parades. Because the parade for the mickey's Christmas is the same parade they ran during the day light in the Magic Kingdom.
We were in the MK 4+ days out of 8 and during the day (at 3 pm) there, they had the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade. Never saw the "Boo To You" parade except at the party.

Kids are in school so crowds tend to be on the lighter side. It's one of the times when Disney offers Florida resident discounts for us locals. You won't have to do much waiting except for some of the more popular rides.

We wnet this past year from Oct. 6 thru the 13th. The 1st fedw days were very nice crowd levels were very low. But from Wed on it was carazy crowded. We went to the Halloween party on thur night and it was insane. We find out the next day that this party and the rest from then on were sold out. Not only was MK packed but all of the parks were insane crowded. We went to HS and tried to do TSM and they fast passes were already gone by 9 am for day and you could barely move in the park. EPCOT for FW was also where you could barely walk around. We had heard this past year was the most crowded people had seen during this time of year compared to past years.

I was at that same Halloween party on that Thursday - I remember hearing the announcement that it was sold out! Here's a pic of the crowd in front of the castle...you might see yourself. :) I was there Tuesday, Wed and Thursday and will never go that week again! halloweenfireworks1.jpg

Disney runs the Christmas parade during the day only after they stop doing the parties...during Christmas week. Daytime is really a much better time to see it, if you happen to be here when it's so crowded. :)

Boo To You is not done during the day.

I'm going 10/14-10-23 and I have a feeling it'll be pretty quiet. We arrive the day after Native American Day (Columbus Day).

Nope, we could not get over to the front of the castle to see the fireworks. In fact we barley were able to see any of the show due to where we were stuck in teh crowd. We were on the bridge heading frm Frontier Land to Crystal palace and all of teh angles were blocked by trees.
