Trip Report October 2021 Lets see what the changes are like trip

I thought I would give a quick summary. Well maybe not so quick but without pictures if you don't mind. We have been going for 25 yers every other year except this time it was 3 years between and wanted to give my thought son our trip and what we thought. Is that OK?

It didn't start out good but we made the best of it. Our flight was to leave at 7:40 AM and catch a connecting flight in Detroit to arrive about 3:30 in Orlando. We stayed at Riverside and our plan was to catch a boat to Disney Springs. HOWEVER, our 1st plane never left until after 2:00 (no pilot/DELTA) and we missed our connecting flight. We did catch a later flight and after it was all said and done we got to our room just shy of 10:00. We went to bed.

Oh no! I'm worried about our flights on JetBlue during our upcoming trip. It's a direct flight so luckily no layover worries but they have cut the number of flights per day. Hope things went more smoothly for the rest of your trip.

Were the boats to Disney Springs open? We are headed to Riverside in a couple of weeks and these trips to the Springs on the boats are one of my favorite things!

JETBLUE I would think would be fine since it is a direct operation of JETBLUE. You have to remember that regional flights, where I started, are not actually owned by the named flight company. In my case DELTA. They are a subcontract company and use the "DELTA" name. Putting it simply.

Our first full day was EPCOT. We got up early and headed to the park to get there for the early entry. It didn't seem like there were a lot of people there. They let us through about fifteen minutes early and we walked toward The Land pavilion. Of course we had to ride Saorin first. The stopped us again just as we were about to turn toward the pavallions where you can see the doorway to The Land and a little of the Nemo pavillion. n At 9:30 on the dot they let us through. We went left thinking it would be faster while quite a few went right toward Nemo and then turned leftd.d They got there faster, remember that. Of course it was pretty much a walk on but we ended up on the left side top. I do enjoy the ride but still think the California version was better.

One of my friends had her connecting JB flight delayed and then eventually cancelled but luckily she was in a hub that had more than one flight out.

If you want to look at your flight's recent performance to hopefully ease your mind, you can look it up on flightaware.com. I like to check our flights ahead of time, and at least once before (when JetBlue was allowing free changes), we switched from one set of JetBlue flights to another, with better on-time performance, when we realized the ones we'd initially chosen were routinely 2-4 hours late (due to the particular aircraft for that flight starting its day in an airport in the Caribbean that was itself plagued with delays). That's not the norm, though: usually our JetBlue flights have a pretty good record for on-time arrivals, even in the afternoon and evening.

I have no choice bc it's the only JB flight that day and the only direct flight via any airline from our airport. We don't have many options except to pay attention and go with the flow LOL.

After Soarin we went over to Living With the Land. A walk on of course and one of the rides I hope they never change. Our plan was to skip Nemo and come another day. We walked out and asked a CM which was the fastest way around the construction walls to Test Track. She said the best way was out to the front and back up the other side. After doing it a couple of times on our trip I believe the best way would have been toward World Showcase. Nevertheless we went toward the front and decided since we were there to jump on Spaceship Earth. This is the first ride I ever went on in WDW and always one of my favorites. This particular trip we went on it three times. I did notice, and asked others if they noticed too, if the narration volumn was down. I had trouble hearing it. Others agreed with me. I had to put my ear next to the speaker to hear it. I pretty much know the narration by heart but what about others that ride this for the first time? From there we headed to Test Track which with a breakdown ended up being a thirty minute wait.
