October 18th Mine Train Update

Fiscal year 2014 started October 1st. This ride is scheduled to open during FY14, so all of its remaining funding has been released.

Fiscal Year 14 only start on October 1st for the Federal Government and for few other Local governments. Almost all companies operating in the US work off a Fiscal Year that is the same as the Calender year. The reason for this is that taxes are based on a Calender Year and so any expenditures on Capital Projects such as this would be based on the Calender Year it was expended. Has nothing to do with the start of the Fiscal Year for the Feds.

I debated on which thread to put this in - this one is the newest that has pictures that show what I am talking about. Anyway,

Does anybody know what the infrastructure at the top of the first lift hill is? it seems too substantial and structured to be merely rockwork. The model seems to only show rocks in that location, though. Support for some sort of special effect perhaps? On-ride photo (this would be a strange spot for that, wouldn't it though?)

I saw that myself the other day. at first I thought the same thing about the photo op. but i think because of the steps that go up the side, its going to be a themed service station (hidden under a boulder)
