hey everbody,
we are heading down to orlando in less than 2 weeks and i just have a couple questions.
we have 2 rooms at the hilton@downtown disney booked one suite and one reg it's gonna be about 280 a night and i was just wondering should we consider best western downtown disney it's about 200 per night with one suite and one disney view we have 9 travelers totall so we need one room that can hold more than 4 thats why we decided not to do a moderate resort.
Anyway wich one has more magic for the value and how nice is the hilton can we get disney view rooms here?

ok question 2: the hurricanes just went through and are there gonna be and rehabs becase of them that are gonna interfere with our travel dates, also will that stupid craine be gone from spaceship earth by then?

Question3: I have been looking at the forecast (allready) and it seems like there is more rain than normal is this true or is it and after efect of the hurricanes?

Last quesion: (srry) should we take the downtown disney bus system or should we play it safe with the car?

thanks in advance for everything!!!!! :sohappy: can't wait!!!! :slurp:

I've stayed at the Hilton for a conference a few years ago. Nice enough hotel. Has a disney store in it and sells tickets.
Busses leaving the hotel were pretty good. Getting to the hotel there was a lot of waiting invloved. The bus would be there(sometimes) but wait for 45mins or more to make sure it was full.
I had a lovely view of the Hiltons back dumpster area

It is however very close (right across the street) from Downtown Disney so i spent a lot of time there without needing a bus, if I did need one I'd usually catch a bus from DTD to the Poly and take the Boat or monorail to MK or walk to TTC to go to Epcot.

I have only stayed at the DTD Hotels once, and that was enough for me. If you are looking for magic in your hotel, those are not the places to go. There is no real themeing, they are just hotels, nice hotels, but just hotels.

I have been keeping an eye on the rehabs, and it looks like the only attraction that was damaged is the Living Seas. Of course, check out the operational updates on disneyworld.com for the rehabs.

I did not like the bus system, which in not Disney's. But then again I am spoiled by Disney's bus system. After trying the hotel's buses one day we scrapped it and stuck to our car. Something we never do when staying at a Disney resort.

Usually October is not terribly wet here in Florida, but there is always the chance for afternoon thunderstorms. So either have some ponchos handy, or be ready to duck for cover.

It looks like we are going to be making an unplanned trip around the same time (have to change the sig), we decided to take our daughter to MNSSHP, so hopefully everything will be magical by then.

Have a great time.
