October 11-22 NO FREE DINING

Just out of curiosity could any one tell me why FREE dining is being offered for all of October other than the 12th through the 22nd?

-What are the odds if I'm "That Guy" and complain enough that they will give it to me. My travel dates are the 11th through the 22nd?

The most plausible reason is the PGA tournament that rolls in for that week. There will be MANY people in LBV for that tournament. Many stay and go to WDW for part of the trip.

That is my only guess.

As long as your check in date is inside one of the dates of the offer you can get it for your entire trip. In your case you can get free dining for your entire trip.

As to why it is not offered during that period the answer is simple. Enough rooms are booked for that time period and they do not need to offer it. You do not put something on sale that you can sell at full price.

From what I see the free dining is..Oct 2 to 7th.. and then again Oct 23 to Nov 4th. If you start your trip even on the 7th you would get it. But it you don't start during the on time, sorry I don't think you do. I would call the Disney travel and find out for sure. Have a great trip..

As long at you arrive when free dining is offered you can get it your entire trip. So you should be ok.

I am arriving Oct 18 til Oct 27, and was told no. If I wanted to get free dining from 10/23 - 10/27, it would cost me $200 to do so. (I was told they would have to split the tickets up, the longer I stayed the cheaper the tickets per day) I asked three times, but if this information is printed some where, can you please post it? This way I can call Disney with the info

Your arrival date isn't within the FREE dining offering period, therefore you would not be eligible for the offer. Only way around it would be to make another resort reservation arriving on October 23 through the 27th. However by doing that you would need to pay another deposit and would most likely have to switch rooms during your stay.

Sigh, I know, I know LOL, I have neve taken advantage of free dining, but had a pin code fo 40% off ONE year. This year is rack rate, specialty cruises, catered affairs and nada... all I can say is I'm doing my part to make the economy healthy

It might be worth making 2 resort reservations that way you can enjoy the FREE dining during a portion of your trip. 80% of the time they won't make you move rooms, just tell them at check-in.

In January we did one reservation room only and then started a new reservation on the free dining day. We were able to stay in the same room just had to go recheck in.

The problem is the tickets. You have to purchase a minimum of a 2 day ticket to get free dining. Quite often the savings you would get from free dining are eclipsed buy the second set of tickets that must be purchased. You do have the option of holding to the additional tickets and using them at a later date but this can be more of a hassle then it is worth depending on your travel patterns.

Thank you so much for the suggestion, however, I would hate to cause extra work for people. The best I can do, is wait to book next year's trip closer to my arrival date and hope for the best :)
