Crowds should be pretty light. The Touring Plans Crowd Calendar predicts (scale from one being lightest to 10 being maxiumum capacity) Mon 7; Tue 5; Wed 2; Thu 4; Fri 3

I highly recommend their service. It can be very helpful and the most important part of taking advantage of any parks is to have a solid plan.

You will be there for weekdays, so crowds will be low. You will be able to enjoy the Halloween decorations, Nightmare overlay on the HM and Ghost Galaxy overlay on Space mountain.
The only drawback is that the park may close at 8 pm each day and you won't have evening entertainment like fireworks or Fantasmic!

I was there last year at that time and the crowd were pretty good although I did notice it was much busier on the sun/mon as it was Columbus day I only found out what that was when I heard a cast member commenting on the crowds and I heard a few people say they were staying for the holiday weekend. However it was still only about 30-45 min wait on the most popular rides which was mainly from 1pm onwards.

I visited Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm in early October 2010, my first trip to Anaheim in many moons. Just like christopherscob ^^^ had to say, the weekday Halloween Time "Mickey's Halloween Party" special event was a great evening. Although it was raining and cool (in the low 60s, high 50s - after the previous week in the 110s!), still had a blast.

Disneyland park closes at 11pm on special event nights, and it is quite similar to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, but there are things to be seen and to experience -- meet and greets and special dances with Jack Skellington and Sally in New Orleans Square, the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, and Ghost Galaxy overlay. It was cool walking down Main Street USA pretty much alone around 11:50pm with only a few cast members / security keeping an eye on me as I walked back to the entrance. It was also cool being the last guest to enter and ride Ghost Galaxy for the night. Speaking of which, the Ghost Galaxy visuals on top of the dome are amazing!

Check out what Disney blogs posted in 2010.

Halloween Screams fireworks show with some Nightmare Before Christmas touches are, I think, better than Hallowishes at WDW.

Overall, it's a great experience. Even saw Goofy dressed up as a skeleton. Haven't seen that yet.

Best of luck, and enjoy!

Myself and DH spent our part of our Honeymoon there last October and we loved it, We went to the Halloween Party on the 19th October and crowds were OK. The biggest queues were actually for all the Trick & Treat stations- so we gave some of these a miss. The waits for the rides were about 30-40 mins, so not too bad. It really is worth a visit for the Haunted Masion and Space Mountain overlays.
Hope you have a great time x

Great sounds like a lot of fun I hope the crowds arn't to bad, when we were at WDW the crowds were bad in October but when the park closed it wasn't so bad specially since they stay open so late. We actually able to walk on to a couple rides the lines weren't bad. Hope it the same for Disneyland. I think I'll be happy we changed our date from June to October.:wave:
