Disneyland and Disney California Adventure expect to be crowded for New Year’s Eve, when special

Admission prices are the same as regular days: $76 for a single park.
Hats and noisemakers will be available at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for special, midnight countdowns.

Here are some of the offerings:
Disneyland, 8 a.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday:
- <LI class=firstItem>Suburban Legends band will play at the Tomorrowland Terrace.
- Live jazz is being performed in New Orleans Square.
- Stompy Jones, a swing band, will appear in Plaza Gardens.
- DJs will be in the area outside “it’s a small world” ride and Sleeping Beauty Castle.
- The special “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks show for New Year’s Eve will go on at midnight. Earlier, the “Believe” holiday fireworks set is slated for 8:40 p.m.
- The “Fantasmic!” show will appear three times: 9, 10:15 p.m. and 12:05 p.m., shortly after the fireworks show.
- <LI class=firstItem>Extra entertainment will be along the Paradise Pier boardwalk.
- A countdown to midnight with “fountains and fireworks” will be at Paradise Park, which faces the water.
- An extra showing of the “World of Color” water-and-light display is set for shortly after midnight.
- Another countdown to midnight, including a brief firework show, will be in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area as part of ElecTRONica, an entertainment experience based on the “Tron: Legacy” movie. The dance party will continue until 1 a.m.
