Obtaining room # in advance

Not your room number, because it depends on the previous guests and on how the resort manages the areas. For example if they are too many people in one house, they try to balance by sending to another. What you can do is ask for a specific house, or view in case of the towers. You need to do this very in advance.

I have been able twice to get certain room numbers if i knew where i wanted exactally, like tower rooms at contempory. I did this by telling the reservation person that it was a special trip, like anniversary etc. Try that if you know of a certain room or view you want.

We are staying at All Star Sports. I have a map that shows me the different buildings and room numbers and was just wondering if I phoned could we get our room # just to know where we were staying and how far from the food court, pool and transportation we were.

We stay at the AS every time we go....unless the company is paying.....then it's the Dolphin....Best place at Sports is "Surf"....Call the hotel early on the day that you will arive...(cell phone) Ask for them to assign you a room... tell them you are going to arrive after 4:00 PM....Be specific...If you go to Surf you will want Room 1101 to room 1149 or 1201 to 1249 or 1301 to 1349... These face the pool....they are closest to the main entrance, the food court, the game room, the bus transportation, and the laundry. and the bar if you are so declined:lol:

I had never thought about doing that. This doesn't annoy them? I thought it was better to fax your building requests to them four days before you arrived, cuz that is when your reservation uploads to their computer systems? If I call before I get there can they give me my room assignment?

When you check in to an All Star Resort you can ask the person at the desk if you can stay in a spec. building. I suggest a building close to the main pool and the main lobby. You will agree after you stay in a building all the way in the back and walking far every time you want to refill you mug of soda or go swimming, and after a long day of walking in the parks. LOL.
