Here's an obscure trivia question: I remember going to WDW as a child (somewhere in the mid to late 70s) when both monorail loops (clockwise "resort" monorail AND the counter-clockwise "express" TTC monorail) both had stations and both did, in fact, make stops inside the Grand Canyon Concourse in the Contemporary Resort.
My trivia question(s) (for which I have no answer) is when did Disney stop having both monorail loops stop in the Contemporary and what was the configuration/order of stops when they did? (I assume that they stopped having both stop because Disney simply wished to create an "express" train to the TTC.)
I seem to remember the "express" stopping in the Contemporary as late as the early 80s and after that, the gates and "station" were still present, but the signage for the express stop was simply blackened out for the longest time.
Anyone with a good memory?
