NYE @ DHS?

Does anyone know if DHS does anything special at midnight on New Years Eve? Also, is it significantly less crowded than MK and Epcot? Was thinking about renting a room to take advantage of the EMH that night at the Studios. Thoughts?

I go to DHS every year we are down for NYE - and though it is very crowded it is no where near as crazy as EPCOT or MK! I am always there with a group of teenagers whom love to get in by the stage and rock it out with the DJ and the LIVE BAND (I think it's Mulch, Sweat, Shears) while I sit off to the side and take it all in. They usually pass out party hats and noisemakers too. Don't stay away! Come and have fun!

I talked to Aaron aka the awesome bartender outside of brown derby and he said they were expecting such large crowds for NYE at HS that they are setting up 14 full outside bars around the park which is about triple what they did for SW weekends he said

NYE at DHS is packed, no doubt. It'll be a very crowded night. However, it will be a drop in the bucket compared to the crowds at MK or Epcot.

Also, DHS has EMH until 2. Last year we walked over from Epcot after the fireworks and it was very, very, quiet. Walked onto everything.

We used to always go for NYE and we went to DHS for several reasons. It isn't as crowded as Epcot or MK, and there is a lot to do which is why perhaps is not as crowded. People are spread out doing attractions, eating at the numerous table service restaurants, watching the band on the stage, watching Fantasmic, and in the backlot where the OSborne lights are. It does get a little crazy when the special fireworks go off as the main streets are crowded, but I love that park for NYE. only thing that drives me nuts is when I am at Fantasmic and they hand out hats and noise makers to the little kids...it's those noise makers...oy!
