Thanks! How is the crowd?.....like a F&W weekend or much worse?
It's extremely crowded, much worse than food and wine. Soarin and Test Track will be 3 hours plus.

As long as you don't expect to do rides and can handle very crowded walkways you'll havexa great time. Awesome fireworks!

Will Epcot reach capacity on NYE? What's the latest I can arrive there?
We spent an extremely enjoyable NYE at EPCOT in 2008 - to date our only Christmas / New Years trip. We anticipated huge crowds and they didn't let us down. We had breakfast ADRs at GF and then went straight to EPCOT - I guess we arrived at the park around 10am. It was very busy. Rumour had it that the park closed somewhere around midday.
Very unlikely. MK will, but extremely rare for Epcot.
I'm convinced that both MK and EPCOT closed during the late morning of our 2008 visit

Yes MK closes every NYE, but not Epcot. I would have to check back, but I think the last Epcot NYE closure was y2k. If at other times, it was extremely brief.

We did New Years 2010 at Epcot. Had a blast. Arrived pretty early, did a couple rides, then set up home base at the Rose and Crown. We'd venture out every hour or so to do a Fastpass - should be a little easier now with FP+ to secure some good rides. We (two adults and a 5 year old) took some cards and travel games and played some on the floor in a corner of R&C - they take out all the tables and chairs on NYE - and enjoyed people watching and venturing out to do whatever things we wanted to. It was an amazing day that our daughter still remembers vividly and talks about!

How is the traffic leaving the parks after NYE?......with Epcot, HS, MK and DD all closing around 1? Seems like it would be a nightmare. I'm also going to attempt to stay off property.

Yep it can be bad. It largely depends on where you are located in the lot. Expect 1 - 2 hours on average to leave the parking lot at Epcot.

OMG!!! So I guess I should bring food and drinks and just hang out in the parking lot for a while......although no bathroom could be an issue.....for my DGF. I was mainly concerned about the roads leading off property. What's the best route to take to get to 192?......or do they filter everyone the same way depending on what park you're at?
