NY Street Construction Photos

While I won't frown on a rehab of New York Street, it's very bad show to have it visible to guests. Whatever happened to the days of the large barricades that blocked the view of new construction?

just a thought... but this is supposed to be a "working set" so they maybe havent covered the construction becasue its supposed to be just a set. Its not a New York themed area, its a set themed area and New York is the set.

Yes, the Disney-MGM Studios is an actual working studio production facility; thus, it would not be be unreasonable to see crew preparing a set for a new 'prodcution'. That's also why Rock N'RollerCoaster, StarTours, Muppet Vision, and other shows are in buildings that are obviously labled as soundstages. This is also why you would see cast from one area (Tower of Terror per se) walking about other sections of the park; it would not be unreasonable to see actors from one production simply crossing through another area on a real studio lot.

Of course, this is a convenient loophole that Disney found, as the Studios are harldy a working facility, save for the animation department...

i think that the studios needs more "lands"

They def. need like a "soundtrack" land,
and a Broadway type land
and a toontown for roger rabbit, but not like the one in cal.... more for the movies setting, not directed to be a kiddie land...

they should build a Maroon Cartoons area in the studios... that would be SO INCREDIBLY FREAKIN AWESOME!

there would be a weasels attraction
a baby herman runaway carriage dark ride
a roger rabbit dark/flume ride
and last but def. not least, benny the cab's own Crazy Cab's Coaster or the Twistin' Taxi.
and the big warehouse from the movie would be built for preshow/queue areas... wow, they should start on this tomorrow!

they could also have the clover leaf trolleys running up and down the streets, and they could build the same diner, and you know how on hollywood blvd, and surrounding areas it is THEMED as MOVIE SETTINGS to a different era, but you are SUPPOSED to be in present day making that movie, well at Maroon, you actually walk INTO the 1940's and the movie setting is that you are at Maroon Cartoon Studios actual working studio....

There could also be a lounge with Jessica Rabbit.... whistle whistle..
