NY EZPass in Florida

In preparations for an upcoming trip, we will be flying into MCO. We normally drive, so the toll roads around the airport were not a concern. I have read conflicting information on whether NY EZpass will work on the toll roads in Florida when we get our rental car. Some claim EZPass works on all roads in Florida, others claim it only works on some. Does anybody have any experience with using NY EZpass?

Thanks. That is one of the articles I saw. I also read some people claim it did not work recently. Do you have any experience on if this is working in practice?

While we don't have a NY EZPass, we do have an MD EZPass, and it has worked on all Florida toll roads. I had thought that all EZPasses were accepted now in Florida, so don't know why NY would be different.

Ez pass is a consortium based in New Jersey…in order to gain the logo, all participants are required to honor all members of the consortium. So it doesn’t matter which state governance you Bought into. They were smart to do it that way…you’re all in…or you’re out
