We completed out reservation for DVC resort online as it's expensive to call from the UK but I hAd to also waitlist a couple of days. This meant that when they came through I had over 6 reservation numbers which even though it's a full 2 week stay meant the My Disney Experience was listing 6 magic bands for the stay. I'm staying in boardwalk the whole 2 weeks is there really any need and how can I get it to read the whole 2 week stay so I don't get given 6 bands which Is just a waste of money I feel!
Is there anyway to do this? Or do you think I'll have to call n get them to log all the reservation numbers under 1?
Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, I think you're going to have to call. I had that problem once, where I for some reason had to make a couple of reservations at the same resort. I then called DVC membership line and a CM was able to roll everything into one reservation…however, I had to hold my breath, hoping she wouldn't lose my resort!

Good luck!

Back in December we stayed a week, but had three different reservation numbers due to different views because when booking we couldn't get 6 nights straight in the same room. That meant we had to check in three times and were given 3 sets of magic bands. We were told we could only use the first set for our entire trip, but that wasn't the case. We ended up having to use all three sets. It was a total nightmare for us. All our fast passes and Disney Dining Plan credits were messed up the entire trip. I spent probably a total of 5 hours of our trip talking to hotel concierge, guest relations at ticket booths, and cast members at the fast pass kiosks trying to get things straight. Each time I was assured everything was ok and it never was. Luckily the manager at the Contemporary hotel concierge was able to fix some of the things, but not everything. He had told me I was the poster child for everything that could go wrong with the Magic Bands. He ended up giving me tons of free fast passes for my entire trip and comping some meals for me, but honestly it still wasn't enough for all the troubles I had.

My family and I had that same exact problem in May, prior to MB's, but with the KttW cards. We had 3 separate reservations, because I wasn't able to secure the same room on points (had to pay cash) near the end of our stay; and subsequently, we were given 3 resort cards. To say that whole ordeal was a nightmare would be an understatement!! From not being able to get into our rooms, to the cards reading previous reservation info, to not being able to access our DDP, cost me over 6 hours at 2 park Guest Relations & BW concierge, with no comps! And, "yes," we were using the correct resort card on the correct day to access the correct information linked to said card.

I can only imagine adding in the fact that your park tickets AND FP's were linked to everything else via MB's!!

Major hiccups happen across the board…it's a system thing, with bugs that never seem to get "worked out!" I'm sorry for your not so magical experience...

@danniyell : So long as your reservations have the same room view and are ALL confirmed with points, a CM should have no problem rolling everything into one reservation #, thus leaving your party with one MB!

Let us know how it goes!

Russell at The Contemporary concierge helped me out a lot. At first he offered to comp my breakfast for the next morning when I told him I was going to the Crystal Palace (6 people) but I told him I had already paid for the dining plan so that wouldn't work. Then that night when my band was rejected again at the California Grill I went back to him for more help and he comped our bar and food bill that wasn't covered by DDP. The more trouble I had the more fast passes I got. One day at the MK each member of my party had 15 FPs. We didn't wait in line once. I ended up giving some away to other families walking by cause we had so many. My favorite was trying to enter the AK one morning and being denied while everyone else in my party got in no problem. Then guest relations talked to me like I was 10 years old. I was pretty close to freaking out on them!

I am going to have this issue in Oct. I booked a split stay the first 5 night at POFQ and the rest at BWV. But my BWV is 3 different reservations, first 3 nights booked thru Disney, next 4 nights rented DVC points and the last night again booked thru Disney. They are the same room category so I am hoping just to stay in the same room but am I also going to get 4 different magic bands? I have mine from last year and I thought they said we can reuse them. Also I have an annual pass so will it really matter other then getting into the room?

During slower times of day, I've noticed that DVC Member Services is available via online chat. Through that interface, I was able to have them link 2 different reservation numbers together.

Brilliant News, my reservations are all exactly the same room view - all garden/ pool view in BWV :) wahoo! So I'm hoping that I can ask the dvc member services online or over the phone to roll them all together! Alternatively a CM can do this too from the sounds of things. :)

I used magic bands over Christmas and it worked fabulously! I have my fingers crossed for this to work just as well but I'm managing 6 people this time not just 3 eak!!!

I believe you could reuse them yes - as I was told this too back in December. There's nothing stopping you from cancelling you from cancelling your old band and relinking your annual pass again. My annual pass is linked to my old magic band too.

FYI, Annual Passes (and other tickets) aren't linked directly to a specific Band. Rather, the Band and the AP are each linked to your MDE profile and they talk to each other through there. (Same thing goes for FP+ reservations. They're not stored on the Bands but rather on your profile, the Band just tells the system where to look to find the reservation)

Use some Voice over IP technology (something like skype) to call - it will only cost you 2.99 for the service and you can make unlimited amount of calls

Hello there, So being from the UK as well we used to have this problem. however our DVC Agent told us about an app called 'magic jack' works on ios or android, which means you can call the states for FREE, well as long as you have a good signal and internet access, my partners the one who usually calls them, but we've had no problems.
hope this helps.
